Fensala Estate, Higher Lane, Swansea, SA3 4NS

Belvoir are proud to present a truly rare and remarkable opportunity to acquire part or potentially all of the historic Fensala estate, one of Langland’s most iconic coastal residences.

Once a grand private estate synonymous with ceremony, celebration and distinguished social gatherings, Fensala has, over time, been thoughtfully separated into three individual dwellings.

Today, for the first time in many years, all three residences are being offered to the market simultaneously — creating the unique opportunity to purchase them individually or reunite this extraordinary landmark estate as one magnificent home once again.

Hidden away behind a private, tree-lined driveway off Higher Lane, Fensala occupies an elevated south-facing position high above Langland Bay, commanding breathtaking panoramic views across Langland Bay .

Built in the 1920s for a prominent local coal magnate, this distinguished residence has played host to everything from lavish garden parties to wartime naval officer soirées, with guests once arriving by horse-drawn carriage to dance the night away beneath its grand ceilings.

Steeped in history, architectural beauty and coastal charm, each of the three residences retains its own unique character while sharing a remarkable heritage.

The principal Fensala residence remains the jewel in the estate’s crown, a grand home of ceremony and celebration where echoes of its illustrious past remain woven throughout.

The famous “Yellow Room, ” complete with its original sprung dance floor from its time as a wwii officers’ club, still hints at evenings filled with music and dancing.

Elegant reception rooms, sea-facing bedrooms, expansive gardens and sun-drenched terraces combine to create a home of remarkable scale, warmth and presence.

The substantial loft space offers further exciting scope for additional accommodation, while the mature grounds provide privacy, tranquillity and timeless grandeur.

Number 27, now forming an elegant four-storey residence, continues the grandeur of the original estate with impressive proportions, striking period detailing and extraordinary panoramic views across Langland Bay.

From the moment you step into the wood-panelled entrance hall, the home reveals its rich heritage and immense potential.

A magnificent bay-fronted reception room stretches nearly 25 feet, flooded with natural light and perfectly positioned to capture the spectacular southerly sea views.

Additional reception rooms, a spacious kitchen diner, cellar rooms and extensive attic space provide exceptional versatility for family living, entertaining or future development, subject to planning.

The Coach House offers a rare opportunity for a visionary buyer to reimagine a charming three-bedroom detached home bursting with period character, project potential and captivating sea views.

Tucked discreetly away along the leafy private lane, this former part of the Fensala estate presents an exciting chance to restore and enhance a landmark Langland property in one of South Wales’ most sought-after coastal addresses.

Arranged across three storeys, the home is filled with original features, generous living space and endless possibilities for modernisation and reconfiguration, all while enjoying the peace, privacy and beauty synonymous with Higher Lane.

Together, these residences represent something exceptionally rare: The opportunity to own not only a home, but a significant piece of Langland’s coastal history.

Whether purchased individually or restored collectively as one extraordinary estate, Fensala offers endless possibilities for discerning buyers seeking space, heritage, investment potential and one of the most enviable settings in Wales.

Higher Lane consistently ranks among Swansea’s most desirable addresses, prized for its privacy, exclusivity and unrivalled sea views.

Despite its peaceful elevated position, the estate remains just a short stroll from Rotherslade Bay, Langland Bay and the vibrant heart of Mumbles — renowned for its boutique shopping, acclaimed restaurants, coastal lifestyle and thriving café culture.

This is more than a property opportunity it is the chance to become custodian of one of Langland’s most historic and prestigious homes, ready to begin its next remarkable chapter.
