The Residences at Whitbarrow. A truly magnificent site that stands alone within the offerings of the Lake District.

A masterpiece of landscaping and residences set against the majestic backdrop of Blencathra and The Helvellyn Range.

The Residences at Whitbarrow offer a rare opportunity to combine indulgent escapes with a savvy investment.

Designed as a contemporary retreat in a truly standout setting, these luxury lodges are perfectly positioned to capture sweeping views towards Blencathra and the Helvellyn range, placing some of the region’s most iconic landscapes firmly on your doorstep.

It’s the kind of location that works just as hard for rental appeal as it does for personal enjoyment.

Fully furnished and ready to use from day one, each residence has been thoughtfully designed with modern holiday living in mind.

Natural textures, muted tones and refined finishes create interiors that feel calm, stylish and timeless rather than trend-led, while expansive glazing draws the dramatic scenery straight into the living space.

Open-plan layouts, vaulted ceilings and sliding or Crittall-style doors blur the line between indoors and out, opening onto generous private terraces that are perfect for morning coffee, sunset drinks or simply watching the weather roll across the fells.

Ownership comes with access to Whitbarrow’s excellent on-site leisure facilities, adding significant appeal for guests and owners alike.

These include the Eden Bar & Restaurant, a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym, alongside outdoor attractions such as a putting green, crazy golf and a network of scenic walking routes.

A concierge service further enhances the experience, ensuring stays are relaxed, easy and well managed. From an investment perspective, The Residences at Whitbarrow are particularly compelling.

There is no council tax or stamp duty to pay, and owners can generate income through subletting, offering flexibility between personal use and holiday letting.

The Lake District’s continued popularity for high-quality accommodation means demand remains strong throughout the year, making these lodges well suited to those seeking a low-maintenance, lifestyle-led investment.

The Hesk: The Hesk is a beautifully balanced luxury lodge, designed with families and relaxed Lake District living firmly in mind.

With its striking split-level roofline and fully glazed Crittall-style doors, this contemporary retreat opens effortlessly onto its surroundings, framing panoramic views and creating an immediate sense of space, light and calm.

Inside, the lodge is thoughtfully arranged around a generous open-plan living, dining and kitchen area that feels both sociable and comfortable.

Vaulted ceilings throughout enhance the sense of airiness, while large glazed openings lead directly onto a spacious private terrace, extending the living space outdoors and making it easy to enjoy long summer evenings or crisp mornings with the fells as your backdrop.

After a day spent exploring, this is a space that invites you to put your feet up and properly unwind.

The interior design takes clear inspiration from Scandinavian styling, blending clean lines with warmth and texture.

Herringbone flooring adds character underfoot, while carefully selected luxury soft and hard furnishings create a refined yet relaxed atmosphere.

The living area is complete with a Samsung TV and integrated entertainment system, ensuring cosy nights in are just as appealing as days out adventuring.

The kitchen is sleek, practical and fully equipped, featuring a comprehensive range of integrated Bosch appliances including an electric hob, eye-level oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, wine cooler and dual washer/dryer.

Whether cooking for family, friends or simply yourselves, everything has been designed to make holiday living effortless.

Accommodation is well planned and private, with two generous bedrooms arranged off an inner hallway.

The principal bedroom benefits from its own en suite, while the second bedroom is served by a stylish family bathroom, both finished with high-quality Hansgrohe fittings.

As with the living areas, vaulted ceilings continue through the bedrooms, maintaining a consistent sense of space and light throughout the lodge.

Outside, the terrace is furnished with Bramblecrest outdoor furniture and provides the perfect setting for al fresco dining or relaxed evenings.

For those wanting to elevate the experience further, optional extras such as a hot tub, outdoor BBQ, pergola or even a roof terrace can be added, allowing you to tailor The Hesk to suit your ideal Lake District escape.

Built to British Standard 3632 and protected by a 10-year structural warranty, The Hesk offers peace of mind alongside its contemporary design credentials.

An energy-efficient A-rated boiler ensures year-round comfort, while the lodge’s overall specification reflects a clear focus on quality and longevity.

The Hesk is offered on a 100-year licence and is intended for holiday use only, making it an ideal lifestyle investment rather than a residential home.

An annual service charge applies (from £7,000 plus VAT), with utilities billed quarterly, and owners are required to arrange home insurance for their Residence.
