Arrival & Setting Approached along a generous stone driveway, Thyme Cottage immediately conveys charm and seclusion.

The private drive leads directly to the property itself, with easy access to the grazing paddock as well as the detached garage, the lawned garden, and the courtyard.

The courtyard acts as a true hub of activity, home to two summerhouses, dog kennels, and stables, offering flexibility for a variety of uses.

Practical outside lighting ensures the gardens and grounds can be enjoyed long after the sun sets.

Altogether, it is a quintessential Northumberland countryside setting – private, peaceful, and perfectly balanced between rural tranquillity and everyday convenience. But the real magic? The land.

With approximately 4 acres of grazing paddocks, this property is perfectly suited for keeping horses, ponies, or livestock.

Add in approximately 8 acres of private woodland and you suddenly have your own slice of countryside to explore and enjoy.

Think peaceful walks beneath the trees, dogs running free, children building dens, and that rare sense of privacy and space without being cut off from the wider world.

The practical side is just as impressive.

The large lawned gardens come with a stone-built shed and direct access to the paddock, while a detached garage, stables, two summerhouses, and dog kennels add to the versatility.

Whether you are looking for space for animals, hobbies, or simply room to breathe, Thyme Cottage has it all covered. This is not your average property.

This is a slice of Northumberland at its finest – and properties like this do not hang around for long.

Step Inside Enter through the main door and you are welcomed into an entrance hall with a large built-in cupboard, ideal for coats, boots, and the everyday essentials of country living.

From here, two solid wood glazed doors open into the inner hallway and on towards the showpiece of the property – the vaulted open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area.

The hallway itself continues the theme of quality, with solid wood floors underfoot and matching solid wood doors leading to all three bedrooms and the luxurious family bathroom.

Living Spaces At the heart of Thyme Cottage is the vaulted open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining space.

Exposed beams and a striking brick fireplace with log burner add instant character, while solid wood floors bring warmth and continuity throughout.

A large feature window with glazed door opens directly onto the garden, with views stretching across the garden, paddock, and woodland beyond.

Whether it’s children playing, dogs racing about, or horses grazing, this room delivers a constantly changing backdrop of life in the countryside.

Kitchen / Dining & Utility Room The kitchen combines charm with practicality.

A range cooker, integrated appliances, and a Belfast sink give a classic country cottage feel, while stylish worktops provide a modern finish.

The solid wood floors seamlessly flow through from the living space, tying the areas together with a sense of continuity and warmth.

The room enjoys views over the garden and has plenty of space for a large dining table, making it perfect for everything from relaxed family meals to lively gatherings with friends.

A separate utility room, fitted with additional storage, sink, WC, and a door to the outside, adds flexibility and convenience.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms The bedroom accommodation continues the theme of quality, with solid wood floors underfoot and attention to detail throughout.

The master suite is a private sanctuary, designed with both comfort and elegance in mind.

A glazed door opens straight into the garden, framing views across the garden, paddock and woodland and making it the perfect spot for a quiet morning coffee.

A generous dressing room provides organised storage, while the luxury ensuite features a roll-top bath and walk-in shower – bringing boutique hotel style into everyday life.

The two further bedrooms are both generous doubles, each positioned to capture views over the garden, paddock, or woodland.

Ideal for family, guests, or even as a dedicated home office, they benefit from natural light and peaceful outlooks.

The family bathroom is equally impressive, echoing the finish of the master suite with a second roll-top bath, a walk-in shower, and elegant tiling.

Practical yet indulgent, it combines everyday usability with a sense of refined comfort. Outside Space & Grounds The outdoor setting at Thyme Cottage is every bit as impressive as the interiors.

The gardens are laid mainly to lawn, with a patio area positioned for summer barbecues or a quiet morning coffee in the sun.

Discreet garden lighting ensures the space can be enjoyed well into the evening, adding atmosphere and practicality.

The driveway is large enough to accommodate all the family’s cars, while outbuildings include a detached garage, a stone-built shed, and well-kept stables, giving the property both charm and everyday usefulness.

The surrounding woodland and countryside frame the setting beautifully, while also inviting peaceful walks, wildlife watching, log-cutting, or simply adventures with children.
