The Old Granary, Dorchester-on-thames, Oxfordshire, OX10 7JE

Welcome To The Old Granary, Dorchester On Thames.

The Old Granary on Martins Lane is a truly one-of-a-kind home, believed to have once formed part of the Manor Farm estate and linked to one of the village’s historic inns.

The current owners have transformed it with a real eye for character, adding rustic and romantic touches throughout.

Handmade wooden shelves, original doors, a bespoke wine store, and a downstairs cloakroom that will have all your dinner guests talking. They all give the house bags of personality.

At the same time, it works brilliantly for modern family life.

The kitchen has been completely remodelled and relocated, a playroom or additional reception space has been created, and a loft conversion with an ensuite has been added that wouldn’t look out of place in a hotel.

There’s a separate lounge with a wood burner, a dining room at the front, four bedrooms and a luxurious family bathroom, all with the sense of space and light that makes this house feel so enjoyable to be in.

Outside, a curved gravel path from the picket gate leads up to the lawned frontage, while at the back there’s a patioed al fresco space complete with a pizza oven, plus a lawn area and mature beds.

Set in the heart of Dorchester on Thames, it’s just minutes from Hurst Meadows and all the village has to offer, making it a home that combines style and modern living in equal measure.
