Penzance | West Cornwall, TR18 3LU

A unique and characterful former Gamekeeper’s Cottage, Pendrea Cottage offers highly adaptable accommodation arranged over three floors, with the ground floor currently configured as a self-contained one-bedroom annexe.

The property has been carefully renovated and updated by the current owners to create a modern and versatile home with income potential, while retaining and celebrating its distinctive period features.

Accessed via the outside terrace, the kitchen/dining room is a spacious and contemporary area, perfect for both cooking and entertaining.

It features a large central island, a fully fitted kitchen, and a gas fire. To the rear, a cosy sitting room provides a relaxing retreat.

On the first floor, the principal bedroom enjoys lovely views, while the two further bedrooms are both well proportioned. One benefits from an en suite, and there is also a charming family bathroom.

The ground floor incorporates a generously sized self-contained annexe with its own entrance and private courtyard.

The current owners have successfully let this on Airbnb, although it could be easily re-integrated into the main house via the internal staircase if desired.

Externally, the kitchen opens onto a large terrace, offering glimpses across Mounts Bay and towards St Michael’s Mount.

Beneath the terrace is a spacious garage and utility area, and adjacent to this, a fantastic music/games room that could also serve as a home office.

To the front, a small lawned garden provides a pleasant outdoor space, and there is off-road parking for up to three vehicles.

Location - Penzance enjoys a coveted position on the sun-soaked, south-facing shores of Mounts Bay, with its sweeping seafront vistas framed by the timeless silhouette of St Michael’s Mount.

The elegant Promenade is home to the celebrated Art Deco Jubilee Pool, a beautifully restored lido that has become a focal point for the town’s relaxed coastal lifestyle.

As the gateway to the Isles of Scilly, Penzance offers both ferry and helicopter connections, placing island escapes within easy reach.

Within the town, an enticing mix of independent boutiques, artisan cafés, and acclaimed restaurants is complemented by fine Georgian architecture and the lush, sub-tropical beauty of Morrab Gardens and Penlee Park.

Close by, the historic fishing port of Newlyn is famed for its rich artistic heritage and world-class seafood, while the picture-perfect harbour village of Mousehole is a perennial favourite for its charm and tranquillity.

A short drive away, St Ives offers golden beaches, a vibrant arts scene centred on the Tate Gallery, and an array of exceptional dining experiences, making this one of the most sought-after stretches of Cornwall’s coastline.
