About the building Riverstone Heights honours the history of the Lea Valley with heritage-inspired detailing and a moss green façade that will patina over time.

The nearby Three Mills Island was home to craftspeople as early as 1086, with flour, gunpowder and gin all produced on the site in the past.

The communal areas of the residence have been designed in collaboration with the award-winning adc Atelier, the Barcelona-based interior design firm behind finely-tuned hospitality spaces like Soho House Istanbul, Dumbo House and Cecconi’s Berlin.

You’ll find the same instinct for detail at Riverstone Heights, from the mosaic planters that flank the marble reception desk to the bespoke wood paneling in the library.

A dedicated workspace for residents on the first floor is the latest chapter in the area’s working tradition.

Pairing light-filled meeting rooms with phone booths, staggered snugs and a roomy open-plan hub, it’s ideal for those who want to work collaboratively one minute and then slip off for a private call.

From the reclaimed wood flooring underfoot to the stacked marble island opposite the kitchenette, it’s fair to say this is a far cry from sterile corporate office.

Armchairs by the hearth, which is clad in handmade Italian Botteganove tiles, will be the most coveted for cosying up come evening.

For lounging away from the laptops, the ground floor library is a hidden gem-hangout with plush seating around a bespoke burl wood coffee table.

It’s here you’ll find the individual post boxes, plus access to the all-important parcel room.

Up on the residents-only rooftop, a dedicated barbecue area sits under a Mediterranean-style slatted pergola.

Finish off a few emails on a sun lounger or sink into a pair of rattan armchairs with a neighbour after hours – every seat is angled for sensational views.

Lush planting has been plotted by east London’s Conservatory Archives and hundreds of festoon lights strung overhead for illumination on balmy evenings.

For nights with a different flavour, a bookable dining room allows residents to play host against the backdrop of the London skyline.

Ideal for birthdays or gatherings that require a little extra fanfare, it includes a state-of-the-art kitchen equipped with Gaggenau appliances and fully stocked with artisanal tableware from Borough Kitchens.

Way of Life has brought Riverstone Heights to life with an eclectic edit of furniture, fabrics and bespoke finishes.

Expect curated pieces from &Tradition, Six the Residence and Audo Copenhagen, plus handtufted rugs designed by adc Atelier.

Design signatures include mosaic tiles, Art Deco-feel light fixtures and a figurative mural from Polly Arnett commissioned for reception.

This chic entryway also features a custom oak and marble desk framed by tiled, monstera-wrapped columns inspired by a trip to the Barbican Conservatory.

You’ll find a selection of artworks from some of Britain’s most exciting artists on the walls, from printed silk pieces by Kojo Marfo to graphic wood blocks from The Camberwell Collective.

About way of life Way of Life gives renters the space to make a home. We value good design, and know you do too.

Which is why for each of our residences we work with some of the world’s most respected interior designers.

We make the most of space and light, and often integrate gyms, co-working and roof gardens into our homes, which have been featured in Wallpaper, Elle Decor and Dezeen.

Every detail is considered, from the warmth of a light fitting to the texture of a kitchen counter. And we make things easy, too.

With ready-to-move-in accommodation, no-fuss tenancy management and an in-house team of experts, admin is a thing of the past.

We know that buildings are nothing without people, which is why we foster and nurture community spirit within our buildings.

We do this through regular residents events and workshops, but we’re also aware of our responsibility to support the wider community too.

Our buildings are designed to slot seamlessly into existing communities, and we help support local businesses where possible, collaborating on design, events and projects.

We also strive to inform our residents of local happenings, ensuring our neighbourhoods feel supported and our residents get to play their part.

We’ve made ourselves accountable in setting a new standard for renting.

Way of Life is a voluntary member of governing bodies that hold us to strict codes in property, service and the protection of tenancy deposits. That’s why we’ll always tell you your rights as renters.

No unexpected fees. No troublesome small print. Just leases that are straightforward and easy to manage. Our online tenancy management is available 24/7 for ultimate peace of mind.

About community life At Way of Life, we know your home is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s about putting down roots, and feeling part of something bigger.

We help our residents connect to the local area through facilitation and events, while helping existing communities feel supported and respected.

Cue the Way of Life Community Initiative, a long-term, strategic commitment to supporting our neighbourhoods and shaping lasting change.

The initiative exists to help you, our residents, to participate in a social responsibility programme that’s scalable and sustainable.

At the heart of our plan is the ambition to deliver groundbreaking community initiatives that leave a legacy in our communities.

The initiative is designed to support grassroots community projects in close proximity to each of our residences, and for you to be as hands on, or hands-off as you’d like to be.

Anything you donate will be donated in full to the local community project that your own residence supports, and of course you can connect with a project independently too; participating in events or donating your time and skills as a volunteer.

However you choose to give back, you can do so safe in the knowledge that you’ll be supporting tangible long-term change, close to home. All images are for illustrative purposes only.
