About
Owners Comments… We have really enjoyed living in Albert Close for the last five years.
It’s right in the middle of the Croft Gardens estate, which has such a warm, community-focused spirit, especially around holiday periods.
What made us decide on this house was the spacious upstairs, which enables us to have bedrooms and dedicated home-working space.
We also like having the separate living and dining rooms downstairs, which creates different hosting spaces.
The garden is one of our favourite parts of the house with plenty of space for the dog to run around and perfect for hosting relaxed pizza parties throughout the summer.
We had a heat pump installed and removed the boiler, which means the house is consistently warm and we like that it has saved us money on our bills compared to the old boiler.
Dan & Neil Estate Agents’ comments… Tucked right at the back of the ever popular Croft Gardens development, this spacious and unique family home enjoys a quiet spot well off the main road.
With great kerb appeal from the moment you arrive, this one really stands out. Inside, you’ve got four genuinely decent sized bedrooms.
The main bedroom comes with double fitted storage and an en suite, while the family bathroom sits conveniently in the middle.
Across the landing you’ll find three further good bedrooms, two of which already have doubles in place.
Downstairs starts with a big welcoming entrance hall, leading to a large front-to-back lounge featuring beautiful decorative panelling, a really lovely touch from the sellers.
There’s access to the garden from here, and also from the kitchen, which sits at the back of the house. You’ll also find a separate dining room and a handy downstairs W.C.
Outside, the property sits on a huge plot with a fantastic garden, ideal or families, entertaining, or anyone who enjoys a bit of outdoor space.
The home is linked-semi, thanks to the car port and garage at the rear, offering great practicality!
Another big change is that the current owners have upgraded the heating system to a modern heat pump, making the home more economic and cost affective.
A brilliant family home with loads of space, charm and a sought-after location, definitely worth a look!
Area Comments… Croft Gardens is a modern development in the heart of Spencers Wood, offering the best of both worlds, a semi-rural feel with super easy access into Reading and even London.
The village has great local spots, including a fantastic bakery, convenience store and a friendly village hall.
You’re also spoiled for choice when it comes to green space, with Langley Mead Nature Reserve just a short stroll away, ideal for dog walks and weekend wanderings.
Head further up the road and you’ll reach Shinfield Village, with extra amenities, a post office and handy bus links into both Wokingham and Reading town centres.
