Queens Road, Thame, OX9 3NQ

An Exceptional Detached Home with Remarkable Potential This most unusual detached property offers a rare and exciting opportunity to acquire a substantial family home incorporating a former children’s nursery, set in a highly desirable position within the town.

With generous proportions and immense scope for refurbishment and redevelopment, this is a truly unique chance to create an extraordinary home tailored to modern living.

The main residential accommodation is arranged over two floors. To the first floor are three well-proportioned double bedrooms, including a principal bedroom with a full en suite shower room.

A second bedroom benefits from its own WC and wash hand basin, while a spacious family bathroom serves the remaining accommodation.

The ground floor centres around an impressive dining hall, which provides access to the principal rooms, including the sitting room, kitchen, entrance porch, and staircase to the first floor.

The sitting room is a welcoming space featuring a log burner and opens into a modern conservatory, which in turn leads out to the garden.

This garden is fully enclosed and enjoys an excellent degree of privacy, with the feel of a secluded rear garden—ideal for both relaxing and entertaining.

The kitchen and utility room are positioned beyond the dining hall, completing the traditional living accommodation.

To the rear of the property lies the former nursery, a substantial and highly distinctive addition.

This area comprises two large, classroom-sized rooms—one with a kitchenette and children’s WC facilities, and the other accessed via an archway to the rear.

While now requiring modernisation, this space offers exceptional versatility and clear potential for transformation.

Subject to any necessary consents, it could be reimagined as a striking open-plan kitchen/dining/family area, additional reception space, or even self-contained accommodation for multi-generational living.

The former nursery also benefits from its own private, enclosed rear garden, providing further outdoor space separate from the main house.

Although some updating is required, this property represents a rare opportunity to secure a sizeable detached home with flexible accommodation, off-road parking, gardens to both front and rear, and outstanding potential—all within a convenient and sought-after town location.
