Cold Weston, Ludlow, SY7 9EA

This handsome stone-built period farmhouse offers generous and adaptable accommodation arranged over three floors, set within approximately 7 acres of gardens, paddocks and woodland in a quietly beautiful position within the Shropshire Hills Natural Landscape.

The house combines the charm and solidity of a traditional farmhouse with well-proportioned living spaces, making it an outstanding family home, smallholding or equestrian property.

There is also clear potential to create secondary or independent accommodation within the main house, should a purchaser wish.

At the heart of the house lies a beautifully appointed farmhouse kitchen, fitted with quality cabinetry and centred around a modern AGA.

The elegant reception rooms provide flexible spaces for family life and entertaining, each enjoying a strong connection to the surrounding countryside.

To the rear, a generous boot room and utility area opens onto the south-facing courtyard, ideal for rural living. The first and second floors currently provides seven bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The top floor has already seen the beginnings of renovation and offers excellent scope to create a self-contained guest suite, with independent access via a secondary staircase.

Gardens and Grounds Approached via a no-through country lane, the property is entered through electric gates, beyond which a sweeping driveway runs alongside the house.

A second drive leads to a traditional courtyard of outbuildings to the south, providing ample parking and access to the land.

The property benefits from a range of traditional and modern agricultural buildings, currently used for stabling and storage.

These include high-quality Loddon divided boxes, along with dedicated feed and tack rooms, making the setup particularly well suited to equestrian use.

Formal gardens lie to the front of the house, gently transitioning into paddocks that wrap around the western and southern boundaries.

The grounds are a notable feature, with natural pools and well-maintained pasture, all enclosed by established hedging and fencing that provides both privacy and shelter.

In the courtyard stands a particularly attractive stone and cruck-frame barn, offering excellent potential for conversion to additional accommodation, subject to the necessary consents.

The old granary, positioned adjacent to the house, also provides further scope for alternative uses. Services Mains water and electricity. Oil-fired central heating.
