The best of contemporary and climate-considerate living in a stunning rural location Newland Homes is excited to present Day’s Rise, a charming development of 3 and 4 bed homes that combine contemporary living in a stunning rural location with a strong sense of local community.

Day’s Rise is a unique opportunity to experience the charms of countryside living alongside award-winning design, all with the added benefit of energy efficiencies that help save you money.

Situated in a stunning pocket of North Somerset, the village of Banwell has an abundance of local amenities and community groups, while its proximity to the coast and Mendip Hills make it a wonderful location to live.

It is particularly ideal for those who enjoy nature and history, for it’s surrounded by a treasure trove of historical sites, landmarks and significant natural features.

These include Banwell Castle, a Grade II listed Victorian Gothic mansion, Banwell Caves, two fascinating hollows unearthed by miners in 1757, and Court Farm Country Park, a working farm with a range of indoor and outdoor play facilities, including a Maize Maze during the summer months.

Explore, marvel, enjoy It also offers a variety of attractions, including the iconic Cheddar Gorge, a designated site of Special Scientific Interest, and one of Britain’s most breathtaking natural sites.

Here, you can marvel at towering cliffs, explore spectacular stalactite-filled caves, and uncover the secrets of its prehistoric past.

It’s a world-renowned destination for caving and rock climbing too, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and curious minds. There are many breathtaking elevated viewpoints nearby.

Beacon Batch, for example, is the highest point of the Mendip Hills and overlooks the Bristol Channel.

At ground level, Strawberry Line is a transformed traffic-free trail that follows a former railway line from the Mendips to the sea.

Something old, something new Day’s Rise is the pinnacle of modern living... But it also remains true to its roots.

It’s named after the Day family who donated the recreation ground to the Parish in the early 1900s.

The recreation ground still acts as an essential village hub alongside an active village hall, a gardening club, a cookery school, a garden centre, pubs and other amenities.

For those seeking greater variety, Weston-Super Mare is nearby and, with it – as well as supermarkets and eateries – comes a ubiquitous British day out, complete with sandy beach and iconic grand pier.

All of this comes with a selection of schools.

Banwell Primary School is registered as Good by Ofsted, while nearby Churchill Academy and Sixth Form is complemented by a wealth of schools in Weston-Super-Mare.

And with excellent road access to the M4 and M5 networks, and convenient rail routes via Weston-Super-Mare or Worle for Bristol, the south west and London, Banwell is perfect for those who travel for work, or who simply want to explore.
