Maygrove Road, NW6 2EE

Set on the third floor of a well-kept residential building with lift access, on a quiet street close to West Hampstead, this bright and well-proportioned two-bedroom apartment offers a fantastic balance of practical living space, excellent storage and natural light.

The flat has a wonderfully airy feel throughout.

The reception room faces southeast and is one of the standout spaces, with floor-to-ceiling windows bringing in plenty of light and creating a lovely open outlook over the surrounding residential streets.

It is a calm, comfortable room with enough space for both relaxing and dining.

The kitchen is separate and a really good size, with wooden work surfaces, a Zanussi oven and hob, and a stacked fridge-freezer.

It is a practical kitchen with a clean, simple finish and enough room to cook properly without feeling tucked away.

Both bedrooms are well-sized doubles and each has direct access onto the balcony, giving the sleeping accommodation an added sense of openness.

One of the bedrooms benefits from built-in wardrobes, while the second remains a good-sized and flexible room for guests, children or working from home.

The northwest-facing balcony is a great addition and gives the flat some genuine outside space, ideal for a morning coffee, a bit of fresh air or somewhere to sit at the end of the day.

There is also a separate bathroom with a bath and shower, finished with large-format tiling and a clean contemporary feel. Storage is another major strength here.

The property has three large cupboards, giving plenty of room for suitcases, coats, seasonal items and all those things that never quite have a home in most London flats.

An air filtration system also runs throughout the apartment.

The building itself has a good residential feel and is predominantly owner-occupied, with just 14 flats in total and an active WhatsApp group adding to the sense of community.

Residents also benefit from lift access, secure bike storage, while the roof has recently been replaced and there is access to a roof terrace. The location is excellent.

West End Lane is just a short stroll away and remains one of Northwest London’s best local high streets, with a huge variety of cafés, restaurants, shops and everyday essentials.

Local favourites include The Wet Fish Café, GAIL’s, Little Waitrose, Alice House, M&S, The Sherriff Centre and Rosa’s Thai, while the much-loved West Hampstead Farmers’ Market adds to the village feel.

West Hampstead is one of London’s best urban villages because everything really is on the doorstep.

You have excellent transport, independent shops, cafés, restaurants, bars and fitness options, while still retaining a strong sense of neighbourhood.

For green space, Fortune Green is close by and is particularly popular with families, while Hampstead Heath is within easy reach for longer walks, running and weekends outdoors.

Transport is another major advantage. West Hampstead is served by the Jubilee line, Overground and Thameslink, making it exceptionally well connected across London and beyond.

There are also numerous bus routes nearby, including the 139, 328 and C11.

For us, this is a really appealing apartment: bright, breezy and practical, with two good bedrooms, a balcony, lift access, excellent storage and a brilliant West Hampstead location.
