A wonderful character home in an exclusive setting with views over the surrounding countryside and offering excellent leisure with a tennis court, indoor pool, gym plus self-contained annex.

Description Westfield Bury sits at the end of a sweeping, gated driveway which meanders through the gardens leading up to the turning and parking area in front of the open bay triple cart lodge.

Centred around the palatial entrance hallway, the ground floor layout works well for family living, with flowing rooms and plenty of natural light.

The spacious and well-appointed kitchen is perfect for entertaining and fitted with a range of traditional wall and base units with a central island.

The current owners have recently had a bespoke hand made kitchen fitted which connects with the adjacent dining room to make a super room opening directly onto the private courtyard garden to the rear of the house.

The kitchen features some wonderful design touches with a dresser and island unit and display cabinetry.

The drawing room enjoys stunning far reaching views and links the main house with the indoor swimming pool, hot tub and two mezzanine gym areas.

Just off here is also a snug room with beautiful beams and an exposed period fireplace with inset wood burning stove. Next to the kitchen is a full sized utility room, study and guest cloakroom.

An internal hallway gives access to both the courtyard and parking area but also to a custom built boot room.

Completing the ground floor accommodation is the games room – a fabulous entertainment area with polished parquet wood flooring.

On the first floor there is the main bedroom suite with dressing room and modern bathroom.

This links through to the mezzanine gym and pool area while also enjoying stunning views over the garden and paddocks. There are further four bedrooms, one of which is en suite, and a family bathroom.

On the outside, the house is set in a mature plot of around 6.7 acres, with a gated carriage driveway.

The driveway splits to give access to a separate garage block and cart lodge, the stables and an pavilion/summerhouse next to the tennis court.

This area lends itself ideally for equestrian or motor interests or for a separate area on which to entertain.

The self contained annex is next to the main house with its own access and offers a reception with kitchenette on the ground floor and a bedroom and shower room on the first floor.
