A traditional stable door, sheltered beneath a storm porch, opens into a welcoming entrance hall, where there is a convenient cloakroom and a practical utility room.

The heart of the home is undoubtedly the impressive kitchen, dining and family room.

Designed and fitted by bespoke kitchen specialists Shaker & May, this beautifully appointed space features elegant Shaker-style cabinetry, quartz work surfaces and splashbacks, a Belfast sink and a comprehensive range of integrated appliances.

Mandarin Stone tiled flooring, exposed stonework and original oak beams create a wonderfully authentic country-house feel, while underfloor heating provides comfort throughout the seasons.

The room has been carefully designed to offer distinct areas for cooking, dining and relaxing, making it equally suited to busy family life and entertaining.

At the far end of the kitchen, the dining area sits beneath a characterful vintage railway clock and features a handcrafted fitted bench that complements the kitchen’s bespoke cabinetry.

Alongside is a relaxed family area, enhanced by further exposed beams and attractive brick detailing.

French doors open directly onto the rear garden, creating a natural connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

An oak door leads into the generously proportioned sitting room, which provides a warm and inviting retreat.

Wooden flooring, a distinctive circular window and an impressive stone fireplace with an inset log-burning stove combine to create a room of considerable charm—perfect for relaxing on colder evenings.

A wooden staircase with a rope handrail rises to the first-floor landing.

The peaceful principal bedroom enjoys an attractive outlook over the rear garden and features exposed beams, fitted storage and a well-appointed en suite bathroom.

Three further individually styled bedrooms provide flexible accommodation for family, guests or those working from home.

One of the guest bedrooms is especially characterful, with its own feature fireplace. The family bathroom is finished to a high standard, with Mandarin Stone flooring and underfloor heating.

It includes a bath with shower over, washbasin and WC.

Throughout the first floor, exposed timbers, traditional thumb-latch doors and carefully considered finishes continue the cottage’s appealing balance of historic character and modern comfort.

Double-glazed windows and a built-in speaker system further enhance the practicality of the home.

Beyond lies a generous lawn, shaded by a beautiful silver birch tree and bordered by established shrubs and planting.

A Wendy house sits within the garden, while a further paved terrace incorporates a children’s climbing frame and swing. A stone-built potting shed and adjoining store provide useful garden storage.

Mature trees and shrubs create an attractive backdrop, with pretty views towards the surrounding hills.
