Shared Ownership is a government-backed part buy, part rent scheme that helps you to purchase a home that otherwise may not have been affordable.

Through Shared Ownership, you can purchase a ‘share’ of a home, typically between 25% and 75%, and pay rent on the remaining amount.

Then, over time, you can purchase more shares all the way up to 100%, or simply sell your home on the open market.

What's more, your deposit is based on the value of the share you buy, not the full market value, making these high-spec homes even more affordable when compared to buying a home outright.
