Hurlington Court 1 Woodmill Close, London

This stylish one bedroom, raised ground floor apartment is situated in a quiet, secluded corner of the idyllic Queen Mary's Place development, a stone's throw from Richmond Park and ideally located for the many attractions of Putney, Barnes, Richmond and Wimbledon.

The property features a bright, open plan reception and handsome, well equipped kitchen, suffused with natural light from French doors opening on to a Juliet balcony.

The spacious bedroom benefits from dual aspect windows and a generously sized built-in wardrobe, with a well appointed bathroom across the hallway.

The property enjoys its own parking space, while the bus stop directly opposite Queen Mary's Place offers a frequent service to Putney, Barnes, Richmond and Wimbledon, including Barnes and Putney railway stations with their connections into Waterloo, and Putney Bridge for the District Line on the Tube.

As well as having Richmond Park on the doorstep, a short walk takes you to Putney Heath and on to Wimbledon Common - with the allure of a pleasant, relaxing stroll to Wimbledon village.

Or for more vigorous exercise there is a well-equipped, residents only gym just fifty yards away.

The Roehampton University campus, situated on the other side of Roehampton Lane, lends an appealing, lively buzz to the area.

Even without the numerous plus points, the unique appeal of the development quickly becomes apparent.

Firstly, the roads are a calm place with virtually no traffic - quite a rare feature in modern-day London.

Added to that, along with numerous eye-pleasing architectural features, there are two formal gardens: A beautifully maintained rose garden and a sunken garden with fountain, overlooked by the magnificent 18th century, Grade I listed Roehampton House.

As a showpiece project of developer St. James, part of the Berkeley Group, the properties at qmp were finished to a high standard, creating a sense of quality living that embraces you when you enter.

This feel good factor extends to the immediate environs, indeed the whole of Queen Mary's Place, which provide a kind of decompression zone from the world outside.
