Lime Kiln Lane, Winsham, Somerset, TA20 4EL

A charming former mill, once part of the historic Cricket St Thomas estate, set within approximately 1.6 acres of its own picturesque grounds, complete with a gently winding stream flowing through the garden.

Tucked away in a peaceful and secluded position set back from the road, the property enjoys a tranquil setting while remaining less than a mile from the sought-after South Somerset village of Winsham, which offers a community-run shop, primary school, and traditional pub.

Purchased by the current owners in 2008, the property has since been thoughtfully and lovingly restored, enhanced, and extended to create the warm and inviting home seen today.

The improvements have been carried out with great sensitivity to the building`s character, including the exposure of beautiful stone elevations, the installation of hardwood double glazing and central heating (with under floor heating throughout the ground floor), and the addition of an impressive oak and glass garden room, perfectly positioned to take in the delightful views over the grounds.

In addition, a substantial garden lodge provides excellent guest or letting accommodation, including a bedroom, shower room, and living area.

Further enhancing the property`s appeal, a substantial stone barn at the entrance has planning permission for conversion into a holiday let or annexe, with works already commenced to secure the consent.

The property is approached via a gated entrance, offering ample parking and turning space. A pathway leads to the house, crossing the stream via a charming bridge.

Beyond, the home sits within a small clearing surrounded by fields and woodland, with a variety of paths weaving through the grounds and creating numerous areas to explore and enjoy.
