72, Abbey Gardens, Reading, RG7 5TZ

Parkers - Peacefully positioned within an exclusive development and with stunning views from every window is this light-filled two-bedroomed chain-free apartment, which has the added benefit of two large garages.

The apartment is in a quiet corner of Abbey Gardens, within the grounds of the former Douai Abbey school which was sympathetically transformed into residential accommodation in 2006.

The development includes the conversion of the Grade II listed school building and a number of newly built houses and a small block of six luxury apartments, of which this property is one.

Located in Upper Woolhampton and within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the complex strikes the perfect balance between an idyllic, peaceful, countryside setting and easy access to the region’s impressive transport infrastructure.

Mainline stations, serving London Paddington, and junction 12 of the M4 are a short 7 minute drive and Reading and Newbury are roughly equidistant, whilst there are miles of countryside walks on the property’s doorstep.

The apartment was purchased from new by the current owners and has been very well maintained.

Occupying a second floor position it is one of just two homes on this floor and can be accessed by a lift or stairs.

Its second-floor position ensures that the property is light and airy and affords far reaching vistas across to Watership Down along with pleasing views of the historic former school.

A welcoming entrance hall provides access to all accommodation which consists of two double bedrooms, with a large ensuite bathroom leading off the master; a generously proportioned living/dining room with eye-catching views and access to the property's well-appointed kitchen.

There is also a separate family bathroom. Outside, the property owns two garages in the purpose-built block, both with electric doors, power, and light.

There is access to the private manicured grounds along with a wild-flower meadow of just over an acre for the exclusive use of the residents.
