91 Norham Avenue, Southampton, SO16 6QB

This Victorian mid-terrace home on Norham Avenue is full of character, with high ceilings and good-sized rooms.

With two double bedrooms and a lovely sunny garden, it’s well suited to first-time buyers, professional couples or a small family.

Located in Upper Shirley, you are only an 8-minute walk from Southampton’s General Hospital. On the ground floor, the lounge/dining room measures 20 feet from front to back.

It’s open plan, with an archway creating two clearly defined areas.

In the lounge area, a bay window to the front lets plenty of light into the room, and the electric feature fireplace, with recessed shelving on either side, makes a lovely focal point.

The dining area has room for a family table and plenty of space for entertaining, along with a useful understairs cupboard.

Wood-effect flooring continues into the kitchen, which has white units, granite-effect worktops and a sink beneath the window.

There’s a built-in electric oven, hob, extractor and dishwasher, plus space for a washing machine and a large fridge freezer.

The rear porch is a practical spot for coats, shoes and bikes, and it’s ideal after long muddy walks. Upstairs, the main bedroom is a great-sized double with two windows bringing in plenty of light.

The second bedroom is also a double and currently works well as a home office, a useful option for anyone working from home.

The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, a vanity basin, a chrome heated towel rail, a WC and a cupboard housing the recently fitted Worcester Bosch combination boiler.

There’s also a boarded loft with a light and a ladder, giving you plenty of extra storage. Outside, the south-east facing rear garden enjoys plenty of sun and isn’t overlooked.

There’s a lawn, paved patio, raised beds and fruit trees. A rear pedestrian gate provides convenient rear access to the garden. Parking is by residents’ permit.

The current owners hold two permits and a visitors’ permit at around £30 a year each, though anyone interested should check current costs with Southampton City Council.

Southampton Sports Centre and Southampton Common are a couple of minutes’ drive or a short walk away, ideal for walks, dog walks and running.

The city centre and Southampton Central station are around two and a half miles away.
