La Ruelle Vaucluse, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 3JD

Historic farmstead with exceptional restoration potential.

Description Set in an elevated rural position with far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside and valley, this distinguished historic Jersey farmstead offers a rare opportunity for restoration.

Peacefully tucked away on a quiet lane and designated as a Site of Special Interest, the property presents extensive accommodation arranged over two floors and is currently configured as the main house plus a separate one-bedroom self-contained flat.

The main residence features a generous ground floor layout comprising an entrance hallway, sitting room, living room, dining room, kitchen, scullery, study, plant room and cloakroom.

Many of these rooms showcase period character, including the scullery’s impressive original stone flooring.

Two of the three reception rooms open directly onto a sunny, south-facing garden that enjoys an uninterrupted backdrop of open fields.

Upstairs, the property offers three well-proportioned double bedrooms and two bathrooms, including one ensuite. Accessed via external stairs, the flat provides practical ancillary accommodation.

It includes an entrance hall, living room, kitchen, double bedroom, bathroom and separate WC.

Positioned opposite the main house is a substantial outhouse currently arranged as multicar garaging on the ground floor with additional storage above.

A separate single garage sits to one side, while another outbuilding, formerly used for farm animals, offers scope for a range of future uses, subject to permissions.

The property is enveloped by its own land on three sides.

To the south, a bright and mostly lawned garden adjoins the house; to the east, the property includes the majority of the neighbouring woodland; and to the north lies a small field.

Two further adjoining fields, amounting to approximately 12.25 vergees, are currently let to the Jersey Royal Company.

Location Set along a peaceful rural lane, the property enjoys a tranquil, green setting surrounded by woodland trails and natural valley landscapes, offering an attractive sense of seclusion while remaining highly convenient for everyday amenities.

Bushy Farm is in an ideal location for those seeking tranquillity and accessibility, with quick access to the town centre, local schools and shops.
