Energy Rating: C Situation Coalport is a delightful small village community nestling in the Severn Gorge adjoining the River Severn; the area was at the heart of the Industrial Revolution and is steeped in heritage with the Ironbridge Gorge and museums forming part of the unesco World Heritage Site and being a premier tourist area.

The world’s first iron bridge constructed in 1779 is some two miles to the west and Telford town centre with its excellent range of facilities, including the railway station and access to the M54, is some five miles to the north.

Coalport is understood to have been the creation of William Reynolds, one of the 18th century Shropshire iron makers and was the home of the Coalport China Works which was world renowned for its production of china and decorative tiles.

Reynolds Wharf is a prestigious development in an idyllic riverside setting close to the Coalport China Museum; the development includes the sympathetic conversion of some of the original 19th century Coalport China factory buildings together with built detached and three storey mews properties and apartments.
