Charming detached period cottage situated in a tucked away position within this popular village. Beautiful gardens, useful outbuilding, garage and parking.

The Spinney is an attractive period residence situated in a secluded position within the heart of this desirable semi-rural village.

We believe the property in part dates back to the late 16th/early 17th century with later additions and offers a wealth of charm and character along with all the modern comforts you would expect.

Period features include; ceiling beams and an inglenook fireplace and the ground floor has a mix of engineered oak and slate tiled flooring.

The immaculately presented and deceptively spacious accommodation is arranged over two floors and briefly comprises; a storm porch and stable entrance door provide access into the front aspect well-proportioned lounge with an inglenook fireplace housing a wood burner and a charming window seat.

A door from the lounge leads into the well-fitted kitchen with an extensive range of wall, base and drawer units with granite worktops over, complimentary tiling and incorporating an integrated dishwasher and washing machine, wine rack and wine fridge, along with a range cooker.

The kitchen is double aspect with French doors at either end, opening into the conservatory and providing access to the rear garden.

The conservatory is a nice addition and is a perfect place to dine and entertain whilst overlooking the gardens.

Also on the ground floor you will find a study which could also be utilised as an occasional bedroom.

From there you will enter into an inner hall with a door leading into a shower room and a staircase rising to the first floor, with cupboard under.

The tiled shower room has been recently re-fitted, with a beautiful suite comprising; a large walk-in shower, vanity wash basin unit, WC and vertical towel radiator.

On the first floor you will find an airing cupboard and two double bedrooms. The principal bedroom benefits from built-in wardrobes.

An early viewing is strongly recommended to fully appreciate this lovely village home in a picturesque setting.

The popular village of Chilton Trinity is nestled amidst rural surroundings, approximately 1 1/2 miles to the north of Bridgwater. Within the village there is a 15th century church and a village hall.

An excellent secondary school and leisure centre are located a short distance away.

The town of Bridgwater offers a comprehensive range of retail and leisure facilities and excellent communication links to the M5 motorway at both junctions 23 and 24.

A mainline rail link is also available. Bristol and Exeter airports can be found approximately 26 miles and 42 miles respectively.

The gardens of The Spinney are a particular feature of the property and extend to three sides.

Predominantly laid to lawn and interspersed with trees, mature shrubs, flower beds and raised vegetable beds.

There is a stunning weeping willow which provides further privacy and seclusion during the spring and summer months.

The gardens offer several spaces for alfresco dining and summer entertaining with a large patio and a separate covered decked area which adjoins the kitchen.

You will also find a working well (not for drinking), greenhouse, timber shed and log store. Access can be gained from the garden into the rear of the garage and a substantial detached outbuilding.

Both have power and light and can also be accessed from the front.

The outbuilding could offer a number of uses, including a home office, gym, studio or possible accommodation, subject to any necessary planning consents.

Double timber gates enclose the gardens and in front, the gravelled area provides parking for several vehicles.
