Larachan House dates back to 1875 and was built and designed by Alexander Ross, a noted Highland architect.

Formerly the school and schoolhouse for the local area, the property has been sympathetically converted into a family home and was purchased by the current owner in 2022.

Prior to their purchase, Larachan House had been fully renovated to an exceptional standard and the work carried out included insulating the exterior walls, upgrading the heating system and installing new radiators, the creation of a first floor en suite master bedroom, a new kitchen, new solid wood flooring, a new fireplace and wood burning stove in the sitting room, and full decoration, while exterior work included new drainage around the house and new rainwater goods.

The new owners have maintained and upgraded the property as required and recent work includes upgrading and redecorating the cottage to the same high standard as the main house.

Larachan House is now an outstanding rural property with the potential to offer self-contained letting accommodation in the cottage or reincorporate this into the main house via the internal door.
