Osborne Cottage Steeped in Royal history, Osborne Cottage was built at the request of Queen Victoria to house the crowned heads of Europe when visiting her at Osborne House.

In later years, Princes Edward and George (later King Edward Vlll and King George Vl), who attended the Royal Naval College at Osborne, would visit Osborne Cottage then in 2015 the original Cottage was split into separate houses and accommodations.

Interior This absolutely charming home is inviting and immaculately presented.

Throughout there are original lozenge shaped windows which are thickly glazed and, in some rooms, the diamond shaped panes tilt and open individually.

The kitchen dining room has warm oak flooring with the bedrooms, reception and hallways having thick plush carpeting giving a sumptuous feel around the property.

The high ceilings make it airy and roomy and along with deep skirting boards, original radiators and doors, keeps the period feel to this cottage.

There are recessed pull up shutters in the sitting room from when this was part of the much larger building.

Ground Floor: Entering through the unique entrance door with its lion head knocker, you find the spacious kitchen with dining area.

On entry there is access through a hidden door to the large cellar, excellent for storage, and the original passageway that linked Osborne Cottage to Albert Cottage which is now shut off.

The kitchen has an array of grey 'Shaker' style units with an integrated cooker, hob, washing machine and dishwasher, all finished with a thick oak worksurface.

Within this bright and light room there are extra built in storage cupboards and plenty of space for a family dining table.
