Cotsvale, Northfields Road, Nailsworth, GL6 0LZ

Cotsvale is a spacious semi detached home which has been extended and improved in recent years, with works including the creation of an impressive kitchen/dining room.

Some areas of the property remain unfinished and would benefit from further improvement, giving the next owner the opportunity to continue the work and put their own stamp on the house.

The accommodation extends to approximately 1,780 sq ft and enjoys lovely views from a number of rooms.

An entrance porch leads into the impressive 24' kitchen/dining room, a generous open plan space with a central island and a range of high gloss units complemented by wooden worktops.

Bi-fold doors open to the front, while a bay window sits within the dining area and an exposed red brick chimney breast houses a wood burning stove.

A useful utility room leads off the kitchen and provides additional storage and appliance space, together with access to the rear garden. This room requires some further work to complete.

To the rear of the house, the equally generous 24' sitting room features bespoke built-in bookshelves and a further wood burning stove set within an exposed brick chimney breast.

Bifold doors open into the conservatory, which provides a good connection through to the garden. An oak open tread staircase leads to a spacious first floor landing and the bedroom accommodation.

The principal bedroom is a generous room enjoying lovely views and benefits from an en-suite shower room. There are three further bedrooms together with the family bathroom.

To the front of the property is a gravelled parking space, with steps leading up to the house. To the rear, a seating area adjoins the conservatory, with steps leading up to the west facing garden.

The garden would now benefit from some attention, providing an opportunity for a new owner to make the outside space their own. The property is situated in a good road above Nailsworth town.

Nailsworth is home to many independent businesses, selling everything from artisan bread, meat and fish to stationery, fashion and handmade jewellery.

Nestling at the bottom of steep wooded hills, Nailsworth is now an attractive and vibrant shopping destination, with a large selection of interesting speciality shops and cafes, including the famous Williams Food Hall and Hobbs House Bakery.

It is a quirky and friendly town, with a good selection of restaurants, as well as three supermarkets, a regular farmers’ market and a ‘green’ football club.

Nailsworth is well positioned for both town and country. Climb the steep ‘W’ hill out of town and you find yourself on acres of stunning National Trust common land, home to a prestigious golf course.

The town is also on the doorstep of beautiful Woodchester Park, with miles of woodland walks and secluded lakes.

Yet just four miles away is Stroud, with more comprehensive shopping, educational and leisure facilities, connected by bus services.

Junctions of the M4 and M5 motorways are within easy reach and railway stations at Stroud (4 miles) and Kemble (10 miles) provide main line services to Gloucester, Swindon and London Paddington.
