Reference: #16183 Welcome to Valley View Park, one of our newest residential park home developments — a peaceful and beautifully situated community set in the tranquil Shropshire countryside of the Severn Valley.

With open countryside on the doorstep, a wealth of outdoor activities nearby, and the historic market town of Bridgnorth just 11 miles to the north, Valley View Park offers an exceptional setting for a relaxed and fulfilling retirement.

Location & Local Attractions Valley View Park is located in and around Alveley, a charming and historic village in the Severn Valley, forming part of the civil parish of Alveley and Romsley.

Surrounded by some of Shropshire's finest countryside, the village combines a strong sense of community with easy access to a rich array of natural, cultural, and heritage attractions.

Local highlights include: • Alveley Village Hall — A busy and welcoming community hub hosting a varied programme of events, meetings, and activities throughout the year — a great way to meet neighbours and become part of village life from the outset.

• Local Pubs and Shops — The village and surrounding area offer traditional pubs and independent local shops where you can enjoy the relaxed pace of rural Shropshire and discover locally produced food and drink.

• Severn Valley Railway (Bridgnorth) — One of the finest preserved steam railways in the country, offering scenic journeys along the River Severn and through the glorious Shropshire and Worcestershire countryside.

A perennial favourite for residents and visitors alike.

• Bridgnorth Town — A picturesque and historic market town just a short drive away, divided into the characterful High Town and Low Town and connected by the famous funicular cliff railway.

Bridgnorth offers an excellent range of independent shops, cafés, restaurants, and historic attractions, making it a natural destination for days out and everyday errands alike.

• Kinver Edge and the Rock Houses (National Trust) — A remarkable and unique attraction featuring ancient woodlands, extensive walking trails, and extraordinary rock houses carved directly into the sandstone cliff face.

The site offers stunning panoramic views across the surrounding countryside and is well worth repeated visits across the seasons.

• Dudmaston Estate (National Trust) — A short drive from the park, this beautiful estate encompasses a fine country mansion, formal gardens, and extensive parkland with waymarked walking trails.

It offers a fascinating insight into the history of the area and a wonderful setting for a leisurely afternoon.

• Severn Valley Country Park — Directly accessible from the park, this outstanding natural resource offers riverside walks, wildlife watching, and open green space in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty — perfect for those who love the outdoors.

• Countryside Walks & Fishing — The wider Shropshire landscape is renowned for its beauty, with an extensive network of footpaths and trails to explore at every season.

The area is also well served by a number of fisheries, making it a particularly attractive location for fishing enthusiasts.

Park Home Living — A Smarter Way to Downsize For those considering a change of pace in retirement, a residential park home offers a genuinely compelling alternative to traditional housing — combining modern, comfortable living with a significantly simplified and more affordable lifestyle.

The financial case is often persuasive.

Park homes are typically priced considerably below equivalent bricks-and-mortar properties, and at Valley View Park homes are available from £130,000 up to £350,000, giving buyers a broad range of options to suit different needs and budgets.

For many, the move releases substantial equity from an existing home — funds that can be used to enjoy retirement more fully, support family, or simply provide a welcome degree of financial freedom.

Running costs are lower too.

Council Tax at Valley View Park is charged at Band A — the lowest available rating — and combined with the reduced utility and maintenance costs that typically come with a modern, well-insulated park home, the monthly savings compared to a conventional property can be considerable.

Day-to-day life becomes easier and more enjoyable in other ways as well.

Park homes are designed to be low-maintenance, with well-proportioned outdoor spaces that are manageable and rewarding without becoming a burden.

Less time spent on upkeep means more time to enjoy the countryside, the community, and everything the Severn Valley has to offer.

All residents at Valley View Park are protected under the Mobile Homes Act 1983 (as amended in 2013), providing a well-established and robust legal framework that ensures genuine security of tenure and lasting peace of mind.

For a great many people, the decision to move to a park home proves to be one of the most positive and liberating choices of their retirement years.
