2, Temperance Hill, Newport, NP11 6FQ

Nestled on the banks of the Monmouthshire & Brecon canal at the end of a small private road is this exceptional, very large, traditional, stone built cottage full of character & charm.

Set on an idyllic, picturesque plot just outside the highly desirable village of Risca on the outskirts of Newport the home boasts truly stunning far reaching panoramic views over the neighboring mountains, valley below and beyond.

Quiet, secluded & private yet the location is just a short distance from the high street, all local amenities, popular schools and further benefits from excellent transport links via road and rail connecting Bristol via the M4 motorway and Cardiff & Newport with the nearby train station just a short walk away.

Perfect in every way for the ideal family living the home is on the door step of beautiful locations such as Scenic Drive, Sirhowy Trail, Machen Mountain & Twmbarlam Tump to name but a few with nature, cycle and walk ways in abundance offering outdoor explorations & family outings galore.

The last house on the lane there is ample parking options available and once you wander down the path through the gateway you are greeted by the most attractive of gardens, full of colorful mature trees & plants and "that view".

The house itself is exceptionally well presented & maintained by the current owners and once through the back door you enter the kitchen with its large range cooker, integrated appliances and plentiful counter tops making it perfect for family meal times or socializing & entertaining.

Past the kitchen the home flows down into the very spacious lounge with its wonderful brick feature fire place & log burner and then beyond to the dining room and further again to the most recent addition of the sun room.

Aptly named this room really does bring the outside in with uninterrupted southerly views, access to the gardens via French doors and all whilst allowing the sun light to flood into the room via sky lights and oversized windows.

Agents note: The property has been altered in places prior to the current owners possession.

In particular the addition of the sun room/conservatory & attic room advertised as & utilised as bedroom 2 on the floor plan.

The owner does not hold building regulation/approval documents for any works carried out, therefore we would inform interested parties to rely on their own inspections, searches and surveys.
