We've tightened what earns a Pursue. A home now needs a published valuation, a strategy that still makes money after real running costs and lender stress tests, and no listing problems that would stop a mortgage. You'll see fewer Pursues, and each one has been checked harder.

About
Owners Comments… When we first found our home, we immediately saw the potential.
We fell in love with its original Victorian cottage character, the quirks that make it feel so individual, and the wonderful country feel of the area.
It’s one of the more original homes around here from the 1880s, while still being incredibly well connected and with everything we need right on our doorstep.
We have poured a huge amount of love into renovating this house, bringing back as much of its original character as possible while making it work beautifully for modern-day living.
We have tried to make every choice feel considered and purposeful, rather than losing what made the house special in the first place.
It is also a house that is made for family living and having people over.
The layout works brilliantly for friends and family with a large downstairs (where you spend most of your day!), and the snug has become one of our favourite rooms — particularly in the winter, with the fire on and the house full at Christmas and over the holidays.
The garden has been a real labour of love. We have created different areas to enjoy throughout the day, and it gets an incredible amount of sunshine from morning through to evening.
It has become somewhere we genuinely love spending time. We also couldn’t ask for a better location.
With bakeries, gyms, trains and local amenities just a short walk away, and Simon’s Wood on the doorstep, it has been particularly wonderful for walking the dogs.
We have spent countless happy mornings and evenings there. We genuinely love living here.
If we weren’t moving away from the area, we would absolutely be staying — and we hope the next owners will love Rose Cottage as much as we have.
Dan & Neil Estate Agents’ comments… Honestly, where do we start with this one?!
If you’re looking for something a little bit different, a home that’s individual, beautiful and absolutely full of character, then this could be just the one for you.
From the moment you arrive, you know you’re onto something rather special. There’s a gated entrance, plenty of off-road parking and we’re talking potentially up to 10 cars on the drive!
So if parking is important to you, you certainly won’t be struggling here. There’s also a great big double garage, and underneath there’s even space that could be used for mechanics’ work!
Walk through the front door and you’re immediately greeted by this lovely, light and welcoming entrance.
It’s bright, it’s beautiful and it gives you a little taste of the character that runs throughout the rest of the house. There’s a quirky bathroom just a few steps down, and then you’ve got the gorgeous lounge at the front.
This is such a lovely room, with plenty of light and a log burner that just makes you want to curl up on the sofa and get cosy.
Then we get to the back of the house, and this is where things really open up. There’s a newly fitted kitchen and a fantastic garden room stretching across the back.
It’s such a sociable space, absolutely ideal for entertaining, having friends and family round, or simply sitting with a cup of coffee and looking out into that incredible garden.
And the garden really is something else. It’s big, it’s beautiful and there’s so much to enjoy out here.
Whether you’re a keen gardener, love entertaining outside or just want somewhere for the kids to run around, there’s plenty of space to make it your own. There’s also a really good-sized utility room!
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, so there’s plenty of room for the family, guests or perhaps a home office.
There is already planning permission in place to extend the property, so if you’re looking for something that you can move straight into but still has plenty of scope to grow with you, this could be a really exciting opportunity.
Definitely one we’d recommend coming to see! Area Comments… The location is a real highlight of this home.
Crowthorne railway station is just a short walk away, offering convenient connections towards both Reading and Guildford, while London is also accessible via the A329, M3 and M4.

Crowthorne High Street is also less than a five-minute drive away, or easily reached on foot, and offers a great mix of independent businesses, everyday amenities and two supermarkets.
If you enjoy getting outdoors, you’re spoilt for choice.
There are plenty of beautiful green spaces and woodland trails nearby, with Simon’s Wood, Swinley Forest and Buckler’s Forest all offering fantastic opportunities for walking, hiking and mountain biking.
