Long Hope, Shrewsbury, SY5 0HG

**Long Hope, Gravels Bank – An Elevated Gem in the Shropshire Hills** Long Hope is a home that instantly captures the imagination.

Sitting proudly in an elevated position, it commands sweeping views that stretch from Shrewsbury in the distance across to the rugged Stiperstones and the rolling Shropshire Hills.

The setting alone is enough to make you pause – but step inside and you’ll quickly see that this is a house with so much more to offer.

Over the past two years, the current owners have transformed Long Hope, pouring care and attention into every detail.

From the stylish new kitchen, bathrooms and decor - to the eco-friendly upgrades, this is a property that has been reimagined with pride – and it’s now available with **no onward chain.** _______________ **Space, Flexibility & Beautiful Views** With around 3,000 sq.

Ft. Of accommodation (plus garage and outbuildings), Long Hope provides a layout that works brilliantly for families, for hosting, or even for multi-generational living (potential integral annexe).

On the ground floor, the entrance hall leads to two reception rooms – a generous living room and a dining room – both with windows perfectly framing those big-sky views of the hills.

Whether you’re gathered for a dinner party or simply curled up on the sofa on a rainy afternoon, the outlook is the kind that makes you stop and appreciate where you are.

**The new kitchen/breakfast room is another highlight** – a thoughtful blend of modern practicality and country charm.

Sage cabinetry, beech work surfaces and a freestanding smeg induction range cooker sets the tone for honing your culinary skills.

A separate utility and ground-floor cloakroom (both also recently refitted) keep everyday life running smoothly.

Also on this level are three spacious double bedrooms, two with fitted wardrobes, plus a **super stylish recently renewed family bathroom**. Upstairs, the master suite is a stunning sanctuary.

A generous dressing area and walk-in wardrobe add a touch of luxury, while an adjacent study/bedroom offers obvious **potential for a future en-suite**.

Two further double bedrooms (one with a walk-in wardrobe, one with fitted wardrobes) and another recently updated bathroom complete this floor.

**Eco-Credentials & Smart Upgrades** What makes Long Hope stand out isn’t just how it looks – but how it works.

Recent investment has brought the home firmly into the modern age of energy efficiency.

A 24-panel solar array, paired with a 15 kWh storage battery and a Samsung air source heating system, has lifted the EPC rating to a strong B. The result?

Running costs that are significantly reduced – with the owners estimating **savings of around £1,000 a year** compared to their previous (oil + electric) set-up.

*It’s a rare combination: The character and charm of a countryside home, with the eco-credentials of a new build.* **Outside – A Setting Made for Sunsets** Step outside and the sense of space continues.

A broad terrace runs the full width of the house, overlooking a pond and lawn with those incredible views as a backdrop.

It’s the perfect spot for summer gatherings, or simply to enjoy the golden glow of a Shropshire sunset.

For the green-fingered, the garden has been thoughtfully landscaped with specimen trees, new hedgerows and growing beds – offering the chance to embrace a more self-sufficient lifestyle.

**Parking, Garage and Outbuilding** A driveway sweeps in from both sides of the property, giving effortless access to a generous paved parking area and the integral double garage.

The garage itself is more than just a place to park – it also has a loft room above, reached by a fixed staircase, offering excellent storage or potential for hobby space.

On the western edge of the plot, you’ll also find a timber-framed workshop/garage – perfect for those who need extra covered parking, space for projects, or simply a handy spot to tuck things away.

** A note from the sellers: ** *We have completely transformed Long Hope, as Greg will attest; Long Hope is now an up-to-date property, with vast internal space, and a very homely feel.

It is hard to conceive of a property in Shropshire with better views (of the Stiperstones), that is more peaceful.

This is combined with superb road access - we're only around 2 minutes from an A road that we cannot hear, along an easy to drive lane.

We're just a short walk from Bromlow Callow and extensive views over Wales, and a moderate walk from moorland and Mitchell's Fold Stone Circle.* *The property is warm in winter, and it has proven easy to live in during heatwaves.

In very snowy weather, the local roads have been blocked a couple of days a year by snow; on those days, we just stay in and enjoy the views from our warm house!* *A school bus travels down our lane every school day, so the lane to the A488 is well maintained.

We can cross the lane to admire sheep grazing through the summer; it is always lovely to see the new lambs in the field each year.

We even have a post box around a minute walk down the lane.* *Long Hope has vast parking capacity, and due to the internal space we can easily host large family parties!* *Our wildlife pond is a delight, with Dragonflies and Frogs - we have even had a hedgehog visit.

We're very proud of what we've done to develop the garden at Long Hope, with many new trees, and a transformed side lawn (and removal of a long, unloved conifer hedge).* **In Summary** **In brief, the accommodation comprises:** an entrance hall, kitchen with breakfast area, living room, dining room, utility room and ground floor WC.

The ground floor also offers three double bedrooms and a family bathroom.

To the first floor, the generous principal suite features a dressing area and walk-in wardrobe, alongside two further bedrooms – both with built-in wardrobes – and a family bathroom.

There is also a study, which offers excellent potential to create an additional en-suite if desired. The property further benefits from a particularly useful and spacious cellar.

Integral to the house is a large double garage with converted roof space above. In addition, there is a substantial detached garage with a pitched roof and separate storage rooms.

Ample parking is available to the rear and side of the property.

*Long Hope is a rare find – a spacious and stylish family home in a truly outstanding setting, blending countryside charm with modern eco-credentials.

Beautifully presented inside and out, it offers flexibility, comfort, and views you’ll never tire of.* ________________________________________ *Please be sure to review the floor plans (incl.
