OWNER QUOTE: “The location was a big factor for us; no responsibility for acreage and we loved being set within a farm surrounded by 100 acres of peas, beans and potatoes.” Follow the pathway leading up alongside the lengthy lawn, past the patio that catches the golden glow of the spectacular sunset, before arriving at the front door.

A warm welcome Step inside, where a hallway connects through to the main entrance hall, lined in engineered oak flooring underfoot and warmed by underfloor heating that flows throughout the downstairs.

Light and bright, with wood accents in the skirtings, architraves and doors, there is a distinct balance between character warmth and contemporary minimalism.

Blending character with modern comfort, Millstone House is fully wired with Cat6 and is also fitted with Hive heating controls, while handy USB and TV points are dotted throughout.

Freshen up in the large downstairs cloakroom, furnished with a modern vanity unit wash basin and WC.

Opening up ahead, off the entrance hall lies the lounge, where a log-burning stove sends out its warmth from within a traditional Cheshire brick surround and robust oak beam mantel.

An ideal place for relaxation at the end of the day, the low-key décor amplifies the sense of calm, while French doors open to the courtyard, bathed in light from sunrise until noon.

Cosy yet separate from the main open-plan living area, the lounge also lends versatility, as a breakout space ideal for teens, a quiet reading space, or a tucked-away movie night room.

OWNER QUOTE: “We saw the quality of the fittings, the flow and design and just thought:this is for us.” Heart of the home Accessible with an easy two-way flow from the entrance hall, the kitchen-dining-family room is the true essence of the home.

Ceramic, grey wood-effect tiling harmonises with the grey Shaker-style cabinetry, topped in white quartz.

Storage is in plentiful supply, both within the wall cabinets and drawers, and beneath the large central island, which also offers sociable breakfast bar seating; perfect for sharing a glass of wine with the chef or helping with homework over after school snacks and hot chocolate.

Finished with matching cabinetry and white quartz worktops and completed to the same high standard as the kitchen, the utility room stands true to the home’s overall high calibre specification.

Beneath the beams there is plenty of space for the dining table when company calls, beyond which the room opens up into a sitting area, allowing all the family to enjoy their own space and activities whilst remaining together.

Double French doors open to the rear enclosed courtyard where the views unfurl, ideal for coffee and croissants in the morning sunshine.

To the front, double French doors open out onto a large patio, perfect for al fresco dining and for G&T's until the sun sets.
