Innox Hill, Frome, BA11 2LW

Standing tall and set back from the quiet road, this charming square of cottages was built in 1820 by George Sheppard for textile mill workers.

Set in the middle of the front row, No.8 is approached via a shared pedestrian footpath that runs along the front of the cottages.

A mature and productive grapevine frames the front door beautifully, immediately opposite of which is a small paved courtyard, ideal for outdoor dining and taking in the surrounding green-hill views.

Upon entering the cottage, the living room greets you with traditional period features, including an exposed stone chimney breast, wood-burning stove and beams stretching the width of the room.

This welcoming space provides a comfortable sitting room at the heart of the house.

Stepping up towards the rear of the property, the kitchen/dining room is greatly enhanced by two large Velux windows, allowing natural light to flood the room.

The kitchen comprises of base cabinetry, built-in shelving and a fold out counter for an extra work surface.

There is ample room for freestanding white goods, along with a built-in electric oven and large induction hob.

Terracotta tiles lie underfoot, while a large dining table creates a brilliant space for family dining or entertaining.

Upstairs, the first bedroom is a comfortable double, spanning the width of the house. The smartly renovated bathroom comprises of a bath with shower over, a glass shower screen and additional storage.

The smallest bedroom can also accommodate a double bed and benefits from built-in shelves, reducing the need for additional bedroom furniture.

The top floor holds the largest bedroom, with heightened ceilings and brilliant views.

This room works superbly as a principal bedroom, with additional short and long-term storage cupboards adding practicality to the space.

Some of the cottages at Innox Hill are lucky to benefit from a detached, substantial plot of garden.

Belonging to the property and short walk along the terrace leads to a glorious landscaped green sanctuary, benefiting from raised beds and providing a true retreat, complete with a summer house, children's playhouse and both an apple and a walnut tree.

Innox Hill feels very much like its own village community, tucked away on the hillside. A walk to the town centre takes approximately fifteen minutes, following the river and Welshmill Park.

There is ample on-street parking in close proximity, with access to the property via a few steps. Mains gas, water, electricity and drainage.
