Cornish Arms, Flat 1, Church Street, Par, PL24 2NG

Summary A deceptively spacious and truly unique three-bedroom ground floor apartment, set within a Grade II listed former public house.

Rich in character and history, this beautifully converted home combines period charm with modern living, offering single-level accommodation, private cellar/store space, communal gardens, and residents’ parking—all within easy reach of the south Cornish coast.

Property Description Formerly the well-known Cornish Arms, this distinctive building has been thoughtfully and sympathetically converted into a collection of 3 bespoke residences, with this particular apartment enjoying the rare benefit of occupying the entire ground floor.

Stepping inside, the sense of heritage is immediate, with the original entrance door opening into a welcoming hallway that sets the tone for the rest of the home.

At its heart lies a generous open plan kitchen, dining, and living space, perfectly designed for both everyday living and entertaining.

The kitchen is well equipped with fitted units, integrated appliances, and a central island, while the living area offers a cosy yet sociable environment, complete with feature fireplace.

The apartment offers three well proportioned bedrooms, each providing flexibility for a range of uses, from comfortable sleeping accommodation to a home office or hobby room.

A stylish shower room serves the property, finished with modern fittings that complement the building’s character.

Externally, residents benefit from a beautifully maintained communal garden, ideal for relaxing or socialising, while a private cellar/store complete with power offers excellent additional storage or potential workspace.

Further advantages include residents’ parking and visitor spaces.

What We Love This home stands out for its individuality and sense of history—you can truly feel its past life while enjoying all the comforts of modern living.

The ground floor position, taking up the entire footprint, gives it a rare sense of space and privacy not often found in apartment living.

We particularly love the open plan living area, which feels both spacious and inviting, and the flexibility offered by the three bedrooms.

The cellar/store is a fantastic bonus, adding versatility whether you need storage, a workshop, or creative space.

Add to that the peaceful communal garden, and you have a home that offers far more than first meets the eye.

Location Situated in the historic town of St Blazey, the property is ideally placed just a few miles from St Austell and close to the coastal village of Par, where you’ll find a sandy beach and mainline railway station.

The area is steeped in Cornwall’s industrial heritage, yet today offers a relaxed residential setting with a strong sense of community.

Everyday amenities are within easy reach, while the world-renowned Eden Project is just a short drive away, providing a unique attraction right on your doorstep.

With beautiful coastline, countryside walks, and excellent transport links nearby, this location offers a perfect blend of convenience and lifestyle ideal for both permanent living and a Cornish retreat.
