1 Oakmere Barns Farm Road, Northwich, CW8 2DF

Comment from Robert Reed of Gascoigne Halman This a home that combines a central position within short travelling distance to a number of nearby villages, towns and commercial centres with a walking distance proximity to the beauty and splendour or Delamere Forest.

It is located at the head of a quiet cul de sac and is a home that has been heavily invested in and radically transformed in the last few years.

In many ways this is a barn that you have to get inside to fully appreciate the space on offer.

With an overall area of 1024 square feet, the emphasis and aim of recent layout changes was to create larger open plan luxurious spaces rather than a greater number of smaller darker spaces.

The result is a format that is ideal for couples, smaller families or those looking to downsize.

The main living room is a fantastic space, over 18 feet in length and having a brick fireplace as its focal point, this containing a wood burning stove.

With wooden flooring and fantastic interior design, this is a really appealing place to relax with a book or movie or gather socially with friends and family.

A project the present owners have taken on is the opening up of the separate kitchen and dining rooms into a large open plan space so as to create a space that is now the natural hub for daily life.

Double doors link this area to the garden. Upstairs there are two lovely double bedrooms and a superb refitted high specification shower room.

Externally there is parking to the front and side and the gardens are easy to maintain, relatively compact and absolutely ideal for al fresco dining.

Across the lane at the back is a pony paddock that if required is available by separate negotiation. The paddock is shown in the final two images on the internet listing.

It should also be noted that the residents have worked extremely hard to keep common charges to a minimum, with the current annual charge being less than £150.

This compares extremely well with other similar developments.

If you want a sense of being rural, do not want to live on a crowded housing estate but still want the security of neighbours, this barn has a lot to offer.

In terms of position, Delamere Forest, can be accessed on foot so this is a great location if you enjoy walking in the countryside. The Forest is a superb location for natural beauty.

Once a year there are concerts in the Forest and many high profile artists have headlined through the years.
