45 Station Road, Llanmorlais, West Glamorgan, SA4 3TW

Welcome To No.

45 Tucked away within beautifully established private grounds in the peaceful Gower village of Llanmorlais, this wonderfully individual four-bedroom detached home offers an incredible amount of space, both inside and out, together with a rather lovely connection to the area’s railway past.

Approached along a long private driveway, there’s an immediate sense of being hidden away here.

Mature trees and greenery surround the grounds, creating a wonderfully secluded setting with plenty of parking and gardens that feel as though they’ve been established over generations.

And the gardens really are something special.

Generous lawns sit amongst mature planting and leafy borders, while a stream winds its way through the grounds, bringing another little touch of nature to an already peaceful setting.

There are so many different pockets to enjoy - somewhere for a morning coffee, space for children to explore, room for summer gatherings and plenty of quiet corners when you simply want to switch off.

But there’s another layer to the story of this home.

The grounds have a fascinating connection to Llanmorlais’ railway history, with the original Old Station House once standing on land that now forms part of the property.

When the Station House later became available, the current owners purchased it, bringing the land together to create the wonderfully private setting enjoyed today.

Although the original Station House is no longer standing, they chose to preserve its 1883 Old Station House sign, keeping a tangible little piece of the site’s history within the grounds.

And the railway connection doesn’t end there. The former railway trackbed running alongside the property has since been transformed into a scenic cycleway and footpath.

Where trains once travelled through Llanmorlais, today you can step out and enjoy walking and cycling through the surrounding countryside - a lovely link between the site’s past and the lifestyle it offers now.

Inside, the home has a wonderfully versatile layout with plenty of room for family life to unfold.

The entrance hallway gives you a warm welcome and leads through to the farmhouse-style kitchen, where a brick stove creates a lovely focal point and adds to the character of the room.

From here, a doorway takes you naturally through into the dining room - a lovely space for family dinners and evenings with friends, with patio doors opening straight onto the rear patio and pergola.

We can imagine those doors thrown open in the summer, allowing life inside and out to flow together.

Back through the hallway, you’ll find the study, giving you a dedicated space for working from home, alongside the main lounge. And this room has plenty of personality.

A feature stone wall and exposed ceiling beams bring warmth and character to the space, while patio doors once again connect you directly with the rear garden.

It’s a cosy room when you want it to be, but one that opens beautifully to the outside during the warmer months.

There’s also a shower room on this level, along with a separate store room accessed independently from the front garden.

This is a particularly useful addition because it offers scope to become much more than storage.

With its own entrance, it could make a brilliant studio, workshop, hobby room or creative space, depending on what you need from your home.

Heading upstairs you’ll find four bedrooms, giving you plenty of flexibility for family life, guests or another home-working space, alongside the family bathroom, which has both a bath and separate shower.

But step back outside and there’s another whole side to this home. The established gardens wrap around the property, creating a wonderfully green and private setting with plenty of space to enjoy.

A stream winds its way through the grounds, adding another little touch of magic, while the patio and pergola provide a natural spot for outdoor dining, summer evenings and entertaining.

Then there’s the location. Llanmorlais sits on the north-western edge of the Gower Peninsula, surrounded by beautiful countryside, salt marshes and the landscapes of the Loughor Estuary.

It’s a wonderful spot for anyone who loves being outdoors, with walking and cycling quite literally on the doorstep.

And while life here feels wonderfully peaceful, you’re not cut off from everyday conveniences.

Gowerton and Swansea are both within easy reach, giving access to schools, shops, amenities and transport connections. For us, it’s the combination of everything here that makes it so memorable.

The long private approach. The established gardens. The stream. The space inside. The countryside surrounding you. And a little piece of Llanmorlais history still sitting quietly within the grounds.

It’s not a home you could easily recreate - and we think that’s exactly what makes it so special.
