Whitchurch Road, Bunbury Heath, CW6 9SX

Comment from Robert Reed of Gascoigne Halman If you are anything like me, this is a home that you will quickly fall in love with.

The current owners have, since their purchase in 2013, completely refurbished this striking Victorian house from top to bottom and moreover, have extended it with a fantastic ground floor addition.

What impresses me most is not just the fact the house has been modernised, but most importantly of all the fact it has been modernised so sympathetically.

Whether it be the period style radiators, the high grade flooring, the exposed fireplaces or stunning bay windows, this is a home that beautifully combines the old with the new.

I also love the two wood burning stoves (one in the dining room and one in the garden room) as well as the open grate fireplace in the front reception room.

Layout wise this is a house of great flexibility and in total there is a little over 1450 square feet of internal living space on offer.

The two original reception rooms each have a lovely character and are located at the front and middle of the house.

The most recent addition, at the back of the house is a superb garden room, that provides strong visual links between the glorious garden and the living space.

This room has a vaulted ceiling, velux skylights, two sets of double doors leading to the garden a feature sandstone wall and a fantastic ABX wood burning stove.

It represents the best in modern day design and finish. The first floor is notable for a fabulous principal bedroom that has a most elegant bay window that floods the room with natural light.

The two further bedrooms are served by a fully refitted and well designed family bathroom.

From two of the three first floor bedrooms, fantastic views of the garden and the castle beyond can be enjoyed.

The garden is a real delight and provides an abundance of colour, interest and beauty throughout the year. There are also well planned seating areas designed with alfresco dining and drinks mind.

At the side of the house is a tongue and groove reinforced storage building and there is also a garden shed at the bottom of the plot.

This has been a passion project for the current owners and their care and skill will quickly become apparent when you view this home.

Houses of this size and quality rarely become available at under £500,000 and accordingly, significant interest is anticipated.
