27, Chandos Road, Rodborough

27 Chandos Road is a detached chalet style house in a popular residential road in the parish of Rodborough.

This location is very much part of the thriving local community, with two well regarded primary schools within easy reach and hundreds of acres of National Trust land found just up the hill at Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons.

The property has been the home of the current owner for some 40 years, and it has been extended during that time, with the addition of a hall, utility room and shower room.

The property is now in need of some refurbishment, but presents prospective buyers with a great opportunity to update a detached house to their own taste and standard, with accommodation arranged over two floors.

An entrance hall, kitchen, 23' sitting/dining room with glazed doors to the garden, utility room, shower room and bedroom are on the ground floor.

A staircase leads up from the hall to the first floor, with a landing, two bedrooms and a bathroom on this level.

The property benefits from gas central heating and double glazing, and the windows at the front of the house take in a good view to Selsley Common.

A great opportunity, offered to the market with no onward chain - viewing highly recommended. The property benefits from parking, a detached garage and a larger than average garden.

Steps leads up through a sloping open plan front garden to the front door. The drive is to the side of the house, with a detached garage at the top.

This measures 19'3" x 9'11", with an up and over door. The rear garden is much larger than is typical for this style of property, and stretches up the hillside behind.

There is a level paved area directly behind the house, with steps that lead up into the plot. This is mostly laid to lawn, although it has clearly been very productive in the past.

Established trees and shrubs are found throughout the site, and there is a lovely view back over the house from the top.

Amenities available within the vicinity include the well regarded Gastrells School which is a short walk up the road the Kings Head public house, with some 200 acres of National Trust land at Rodborough and Minchinhampton Commons found just up the road.

A wider range of facilities are available in nearby Stroud approximately 2 miles distant to include an excellent range of state and private schools, restaurants and public houses, an award winning weekly farmers market, leisure and sports centre and also a main line railway station with intercity services connecting with London (Paddington).

Gloucester (8 miles), Cheltenham (12 miles) Cirencester (15 miles) and Bristol (20 miles) and respectively Junction 13 (M5 motorway) is also within easy driving distance.
