8 Hitcham House, Hitcham Lane, Buckinghamshire, SL1 7DP

Exquisite Grade II Listed Home In Gated Hitcham Lane Development Owners Comments: I always refer to The Bellhouse, as our everywhere and nowhere home because it’s down a lovely tree lined country lane surrounded by beautiful quiet English country side but within walking distance of Burnham village and the Elizabeth line at Taplow, which is super quick into London.

Twenty minutes or so from Heathrow (which was important to us with our offices in Pall Mall and given the amount of overseaS travel we do).

Nestled in the middle of Hitcham the private estates 6 plus acres of grounds which wrap around the property, has provided us with privacy and tranquillity and our children & pets with an absolute safe haven in which play and interact first hand with nature.

Alongside the extensive ancient woodlands around about us and our own wonderful mature grounds what has really made Hitcham estate work for us long-term is choice of really good schools for all ages groups, but also the lovely small community in which we live, the certain knowledge when travelling a neighbour is always about to lend a hand if needed.

It’s a rare safety blanket which brings total comfort and peace of mind.

Inside the flexibility of the Bellhouse wonderful proportioned rooms has adapted brilliantly to different stages of modern family life, raising a family of 5 little ones has demanded accommodating an Aupair, room for us to work from home comfortably, plenty of space for kids to chill out on their own as they have grown up and for us adults to have a dedicated drawing room and a dining area that’s perfect for family meals and capable of entertaining .

The converted vaulted cellars has been a real game-changer it’s been a fantastic cinema room with a separate gym, a teenage gaming room/ home office and and now guest suite with own sitting room and en-suite .

In short the house has accommodated every transition of family life affording everyone their own space while still feeling cosy & connected.

We have loved living here for thirty plus years and will truly miss it and all its rare gifts, there is a real sense of place here that is magical and has to be lived in to appreciate.
