Whitaker House Apartments, 7, Charlotte Close, Halifax, HX1 2NX

Agent Reference TS0571 Built In 1896 To Make People Feel Better - And 130 Years Later It Still Does.

A smart and spacious ground floor apartment in the former Royal Infirmary, with allocated parking in gated grounds, no chain and the Piece Hall only a 20 minute walk away.

There aren't many flats in Halifax where the building itself is part of the appeal.

The Royal Halifax Infirmary served this community for over a century - and since its conversion to apartments in 2001, it's been doing an equally good job of making people feel better.

This is a ground floor flat that works hard and will appeal to a wide range of buyers, young and old.

The open-plan kitchen, living and dining room stretches the full depth of the apartment - it's a big, light room that works just as well with a quiet night in as it does with a few friends around.

The modern kitchen has plenty of fitted units, integrated appliances and enough worktop space to actually cook on, and the layout means you're never cut off from the main room when you're cooking.

The bedroom is a proper double, with fitted mirrored wardrobes and furniture that keep things tidy and make the room feel light and calm.

Two windows look out to the outside world, and there's enough space here to actually move around - something not always guaranteed in more modern apartments.

The shower room has been recently updated and it shows - with marble-effect tiling throughout, a large walk-in shower and a neat vanity unit. Storage is well covered too.

Multiple storage areas are marked on the floorplan, and the fitted bedroom furniture means your belongings always have somewhere to go. Outside, the grounds are gated and well maintained.

Your allocated parking space is included, with visitor spaces available for when friends and family come to see you.

Halifax town centre is genuinely on your doorstep, with The Piece Hall, shops and the station all less than a 20 minute walk away.

Skircoat Moor (Savile Park) is only 10 minutes in the other direction if you want fresh air without getting in the car.

The flat is vacant and chain-free, which means the timeline is straightforward - no waiting on someone else's sale or next move to fall into place. Some buildings just have an address.

This one has a genuine place in Halifax's history. Agent Note: We are required by law to conduct Anti-Money Laundering checks on all parties involved in the sale or purchase of a property.
