Myrtle House, Quick Row, Bampton, OX18 2FD

An impressive modern family home combining spacious accommodation with unusually comprehensive energy-generating technology.

Its extensive solar installation generated well over twice the energy the household consumed during the first nine months of 2026, with a 13.5kWh Tesla Powerwall allowing energy generated during the day to be stored for later use.

The result is a home with impressive energy credentials, reflected in its EPC B rating, with the potential to achieve an A.

The accommodation has been designed to make excellent use of the property's southerly aspect.

A bright double-aspect sitting room opens directly onto the garden, complemented by a separate dining room and a particularly impressive triple-aspect kitchen and family room.

This forms the natural heart of the house, with plenty of space for everyday family life and doors opening onto the garden. A utility room and cloakroom complete the ground floor.

Upstairs are four genuine double bedrooms, two with en-suite facilities, together with a family bathroom, providing excellent flexibility for family life, guests or home working.

The established rear garden offers a good degree of privacy, while residents also enjoy access to attractive community gardens incorporating an orchard, fruit bushes, natural hedgerow and a balancing pond.

The property's sustainable approach extends outside too, with a rainwater collection and watering system reducing reliance on mains water.

There is also a single garage with direct access to the garden. The house is situated in the historic village of Bampton, approximately five miles from Witney.

The village combines an attractive rural setting and strong community with a good range of everyday amenities, schooling and transport connections.

For buyers looking to combine the space and practicality of a substantial family home with significantly reduced reliance on grid energy, 9 Quick Row offers something genuinely unusual.
