School Lane, Milton, OX14 4EH

Milton Cottage is the perfect example of a period cottage, believed to date back to the 17th century, thoughtfully refurbished to provide an impressive family home that combines character and comfort with contemporary living space.

Pleasantly tucked away from the road, the cottage offers versatile, imaginatively laid-out accommodation with numerous features, including wooden flooring, internal wooden doors, exposed beams, and stone walls.

The living space is designed to maximise the natural light, incorporating an entrance porch, a generously proportioned sitting/dining room with bi-fold doors, providing access to the study, basement and kitchen/breakfast room with a separate utility, and a small conservatory/boot room leading to the garden.

Additional ground floor accommodation is provided by a further reception room, bedroom and shower room, adding additional flexibility, and providing the potential for an independent living area or home office.

Undoubtedly, the first-floor living room is one of the cottage's principal attributes, an attractive open-plan room with vaulted ceilings and a balcony overlooking the adjacent playing fields.

A half landing gives access to a bedroom and bathroom with a roll top bath, in addition to two further bedrooms and a second bathroom.

Outside the cottage enjoys enclosed well-stocked gardens, laid to lawn with raised stone-edged borders containing a variety of shrubs, plants and rose bushes.

A Prime Oak double garage and secure gated driveway complete the picture of a charming village home that blends modern living with an enviable, well-connected location. Council Tax Band C: £2711
