Kennedy Avenue, Whitley, SN12 8QT

This bungalow really offers a surprising amount of accommodation.

Seemingly the size of a small detached home, it positively expands as you walk through the front door and offers a supersized 3 bedroom home, suitable for a family in addition to a downsizer buyer.

Ready to move into, yet some modernising and potential to extend, and this could become the family home you're looking for!

If downsizing, it offers space enough for all the family visits, yet so not large or high maintenance, so you can relax.

From the front door, there is a glazed entrance porch which is a great space to leave shoes and coats, and then this opens up into the main hallway.

The living room is set towards the front and is over 20ft, with two wide windows letting the light flood in! There is a cosy fireplace with inset electric fire for those chilly days.

and suits as a wonderful space to enjoy your front garden from.

Further along the hall, past some useful storage cupboards and the kitchen then flows through to an incredibly generous utility room and a separate dining room via double doors.

Although a great layout if you like these spaces separate , you can easily envision opening all 3 areas in to one large kitchen/diner/family room.

There is even potential to extend to the side of the dining room to create one large square room!

The utility room has an additional door out onto the side patio areas and a double door could easily give access from the dining room if desired.

Across the hall, from the dining room is the main family bathroom and the start of the bedroom section of the bungalow.

I always think its a nice layout when the living and bedroom areas have distinct separation.

The main bathroom has a white suite with pine trim, and has a shower over the bath, vanity unit and large window.

Bedroom 3 is set alongside and although a small double, it also benefits from an added en suite with toilet and basin for convenience.

This could be converted into cupboards and the room also offers the opportunity to be a great spare room/study. Right at the far end of the hallway, the two main double bedrooms are located.

Both almost identical in size, they offer space for wardrobes and huge windows looking over the side garden areas.

Overall a small amount of cosmetic updating to your taste and this would make a super home, or go that step further and add more accommodation and tweaks to the layout to create even more than already is on offer.

Outside to the rear there is a generous, yet low maintenance garden, which is mostly patios with gravel sections.

Plants and mature shrubs add greenery to the edges and a section one side could make a lovely vegetable plot.

A large shed is standing one one side with more room for a greenhouse of further storage either in the rear garden or to either side of the bungalow where a surprising amount of additional outdoor space is found.

Access on both sides brings you back to the front of the property, where an extensive and private garden is also available to enjoy the sun and some gardening.

One again, paving is interspersed with flower borders full of shrubs and plants and an established Beech hedge provides complete privacy.

A good sized driveway and garage offer space for cars, and the driveway could be extended into the garden space to provide additional parking for a camper van or cars desired.

Located in the quiet heart of Whitley village, this bungalow is around 0.3 miles from all the amenities.

Unusually for a small village, there is lots going on with 2 options for churches, a local village shop where you can volunteer if you have some spare time, a cafe and excellent pub in The Pear Tree Inn.

A popular school is close by at Shaw with a golf and cricket club close by.

The renowned Lowden garden centre, farm shop and restaurant is around a mile away and you can even cut across the fields to buy your Sunday joint on a sunny day.

Even better, a regular bus service to Bath, Corsham, Melksham and Devizes picks up on roughly an hourly basis.

Local village halls in both Whitley and Shaw offer a variety of activities from Yoga to Qigong or simply meet up with friends for a coffee of hot chocolate at the warm space or the Sprockets cafe.

Situated between Corsham and Melksham, Whitley has the best of both worlds when choosing a quaint town centre to visit.

Melksham offers every supermarket from Aldi to Waitrose, whilst Corsham offers a wide variety of independent shops and eateries.

On a Thursday, hop on the bus to Devizes where an excellent farmers market is held. Transport links are easily available with good access to the A350 , M4 and routes into Bath and beyond.

The rail network has a station at Melksham where trains can take you for some shopping in Swindon or change for more to London and Bath/Bristol, You can even jump on a train for a day trip to the coast at the weekend.

Countryside surrounds Whitley village and there is a fantastic network of footpaths and cycleways to use.

Perfect for walking the dog straight from your front door, or a longer walk over to Neston or Atworth.

For the more energetic, the cycle routes pass through the village which is why we also have a cycle shop where you can grab everything from a puncture repair kit through to a new bike.

There is even a bike repair and service option along with a village physiotherapy.
