Exceptional 6-Bedroom Home with Self-Contained Annex, Barn and Equestrian Facilities with 5+ acres in Kidmore End Located in the highly desirable village of Kidmore End, near Sonning Common, a thriving village in South Oxfordshire, this prime location is one of the most beautiful rural vales to live within proximity to London.

The refurbished country residence with 5+ acres is much extended from the original cottage but has retained the architectural features of a period country house offering the perfect blend of traditional character and modern comfort.

Finished to an exceptional standard throughout, the property comprises six bedrooms in total—including a spacious self-contained annex—and sits within landscaped gardens with additional outbuildings, stabling and a tranquil pond.

It is ideally suited to families seeking luxurious space, privacy, and countryside charm within easy reach of London.

The main house features five bedrooms and has been extensively renovated with high-quality finishes and thoughtful design throughout.

Every room is decorated except the kitchen, with new engineered oak wood floor downstairs and luxury carpets on the stairs and upstairs.

Kitchen designed and fitted by Mark Wilkinson On the ground floor, the welcoming layout opens with a large drawing room that enjoys expansive views across the gardens.

Floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to flood the space, and French doors open directly onto the patio and lawn, offering an effortless indoor-outdoor lifestyle ideal for entertaining.

The drawing room, along with the kitchen, benefits from underfloor heating for year-round comfort.

The under-floor heating is zoned with separate Google Nest zones for the sitting room (*2), the hall, master bedroom, kitchen and flat.

Underfloor heating has also been installed in main bedroom bathroom suite.

A spacious dining room provides an elegant setting for family meals and formal occasions, while a cosy snug offers a more intimate living space.

The stylish kitchen has been fitted with limestone flooring and granite benchtops, complemented by solid timber cabinetry with bespoke curved panels that maximise both aesthetics and storage.

Also on the ground floor is a dedicated office, a small utility room, and oak flooring that flows throughout much of the space, creating a seamless sense of warmth and sophistication.

Dolby Atmos surround sound (8 speakers) at the Cinema end of sitting room.

Upstairs, the first-floor hosts five well-proportioned bedrooms, including a luxurious principal suite complete with a dressing room and a private balcony overlooking the gardens.

This floor also features four bathrooms, all finished to a high standard. The central staircase is beautifully lit by a series of large windows, creating a bright and airy core to the home.

Separate from the main residence, above the triple garage, is a self-contained one-bedroom annex with its own bathroom and kitchen.

This private accommodation is ideal for extended family, guests, or even as a potential rental opportunity. Set within extensive landscaped grounds, the gardens are a particular highlight.

The Garden was designed by Joanne Anderson Design, a multi award winning garden designer including the Chelsea Flower Show. Joanne is regularly featured in magazines such as House & Garden.

At the heart is a picturesque pond with a raised seating area, perfect for peaceful relaxation or al fresco entertaining.

The grounds also include a large barn for storage, as well as an outbuilding that houses three horse boxes and a tack room, catering to those with equestrian interests.

On the back of the barn, solar panels provide electricity. The barn is quite substantial and a useful space for car collectors or horse feed.

Situated in the tranquil village of Kidmore End, the property offers rural seclusion without compromising on accessibility. A gate from the side of the garden leads onto a bridle path for horses.

This leads to miles of local bridleways for riding, including down to the Thames River.
