2, Church Lane, Somerset, TA22 9DR

In the 1940’s the cottage was known as Mrs Bagg’s Academy which was a private school and known to the youngsters as ‘Old Bags Academy’, hence it having 2 front doors.

The accommodation begins with an entrance corridor leading into a beautifully fitted openplan kitchen/dining room, a wonderfully sociable space ideal for both everyday living and entertaining, complete with a central island.

Practical touches include a downstairs WC and a useful utility room, along with a door opening to the outside.

The property then flows into the inviting sitting room, featuring an understairs cupboard and a striking inglenook fireplace with inset woodburning stove, creating a cosy and atmospheric focal point.

Beyond this lies an inner entrance hall with an additional front door, adding to the cottage’s character and flexibility.

Stairs rise to the first floor, where there are three charming bedrooms and a beautifully appointed family bathroom.

The garden is a particular delight, arranged over attractive terraced levels with traditional stonewalled flower beds.

An area of lawn is bordered by mature hedging and colourful planted borders, providing a peaceful and picturesque outdoor retreat.

The convenience of this enchanting cottage is second to none, enjoying an enviable, central position close to Dulverton’s shops, cafés and facilities.

From the centreof town head towards the church and follow the path around to the right, after a few hundred yards steps lead down onto Church Lane and the property will be found on the left hand side.
