Jessop Court, Redcliffe, BS1 6HP

"The flat has been at the centre of the things I love doing in Bristol. I walk out of the door on to the harbourside, with its boats, cafes and bars and I just love the vibrancy of the city centre.

I've particularly enjoyed seeing some great bands at local venues. When I travel to London or Bath, Bristol Templemeads is 7 minutes walk. I often drive to the coast or countryside too.

My car is conveniently parked in my space downstairs.

It's a fantastic place to live." The Home Set on the top floor of Jessop Court is this one-bedroom apartment with high ceilings, a long open-plan living space, allocated parking and no onward chain The main living room is the standout space.

There is plenty of separation between the kitchen, dining and sitting areas without the room ever feeling divided.

The ceiling height adds to the sense of space while the large window at the far end brings in plenty of natural light.

There is room for a proper dining table as well as two sofas, making this a particularly sociable space.

The kitchen sits neatly at one end, with blue shaker-style cabinetry, dark worktops and a breakfast bar creating some separation from the rest of the room The bedroom is another generous room, comfortably accommodating a double bed alongside freestanding furniture.

Its position on the top floor gives it a quieter feel while the shape of the roof and deep window reveal add a little more character than you tend to find in newer apartment buildings.

Off the entrance hall is a useful recessed area which the current owner has set up as a home-working space.

It means a desk and monitor can be kept away from the main living room, something that works particularly well for anyone working from home.

The bathroom is fitted with a bath and shower above, alongside a vanity unit and useful mirrored storage. One of the big practical advantages here is the allocated parking space below the development.

For a flat this close to the centre of Bristol, being able to leave the car securely downstairs and walk most places is a real feature.

The development also has a resident caretaker who does a great job of keeping the development safe, secure and well maintained. Finally there is secure bike storage.

Living in Redcliffe This apartment is just a short walk away from Bristol’s historic Old City offering easy access to Queens Square, grab a bite to eat at St Nicholas Market, or a quick drink on King Street.

Across the river to the south of the City Centre is the Southville and Bedminster area, which offers a range of popular eateries, bars and shops.

It’s also very close to the Harbourside and Wapping Wharf which features trendy bars and restaurants as well as many boutique shops.

For commuters, the area is ideal with several major employers just on the doorstep, including Lloyds Bank and Hargreaves Lansdown who are based on the Harbourside along with several major law firms around Redcliffe and Temple Quay and other industries around the centre of Bristol and up into Clifton.

Access out of the city from this area is also straightforward with buses running frequently along the adjacent Cumberland Road to Bristol Airport and the nearby A4 and M32 providing access to the M5 and M4 respectively.

One of the key selling points for Jessop Court is that it is only a short walk to Temple Meads which is ideal for those looking to commute out of the City or escape for a weekend away.

For those looking for quiet walks, there are pleasant routes around the Harbourside but the nearby Ashton Court and Victoria Park also provide expansive green space for walking, running and off-road cycling.
