Barton Village Road, Oxford

A fine, grade II listed former farmhouse on the northeastern edge of the city.

Once forming part of the historic Wick dairy farm, this period home with Limestone elevations under a clay tiled roof is believed to date from the mid-eighteenth century, and sits within a plot of almost half an acre.

The flexible accommodation extends to over 3200 sq ft and is laid out over three floors.

It is briefly composed of two, large bedrooms to the second floor, principle bedroom with en-suite, two further bedrooms and bathroom to the first floor, and sitting room, study/utility space, kitchen/dining room, kitchen/breakfast room, cloakroom and boot room to the ground floor.

The interiors retain a wealth of character features including beautiful flagstone floors, exposed timbers, and fireplace with oak bressumer beam to the sitting room.

Outside, the property sits behind low stone walling with a timber five bar gate leading to an area of gravelled driveway providing parking for several vehicles.

This leads to the rear garden which is laid mainly to lawn with a selection of fruit trees including pear, plum and apple.

Immediately behind the house is a large, paved terrace, whilst at the head is a section of timber-built decking.

The rear plot is enclosed by tall stone walling on one side and timber fencing on the other, and measures 124ft (c.38m) x 115ft (c.35m) with the total plot extending to approximately 0.44 acres (c.0.17 hectares).
