Gatehouse Farm is a characterful Dartmoor farmhouse, dating back to 1800s.

Originally part of a collection of farm buildings, this property has been in the same family for the last 30 years and underwent a major renovation approximately ten years ago, resulting in a spacious detached residence with period features but with all of the modern conveniences you could need.

You enter to a vestibule then in to the main hallway which has an impressive original staircase and stained glass window on the landing.

To the left is a cosy snug room with open fireplace, on the right is a large double aspect sitting room with an inglenook fireplace and bright reading area in front of the window.

At the back of the room a doorway leads to an understairs cupboard then through to a store room/WC which is currently used as a gym.

Next is an impressive farmhouse style kitchen/breakfast room with granite work tops and integrated dishwasher.

A wooden beam adds a touch of character, with a second concealed staircase leading to the first floor, plus a doorway out to a good size utility room.

Upstairs the landing is bright with the front facing windows having lovely views over surrounding countryside.

There are four double bedrooms with the master being a fantastic size and benefitting from built in wardrobes and an en suite. A modern family bathroom completes the accommodation.

Externally the gardens are all to the front of the house, which has a sunny south-westerly aspect.

A paved terrace wraps around the frontage and makes a great spot to entertain with plenty of space for outdoor furniture.

To the side of the house is a log/garden store with a gate leading out to the rest of the garden which totals 0.72 acres.

The current owner has had a variety of livestock in the paddock, including sheep, donkeys and chickens. A five bar gate leads to a parking area for four cars.

The property benefits from solar panels, a newly fitted oil tank and the owner is in the process of replacing the septic tank.
