Congleton Road, Nether Alderley, SK10 4TN

An immaculate, Grade II Listed country house in all nearly 5000 square feet, with magnificent indoor swimming pool complex, situated in exceptional, private and secure landscaped gardens, enjoying wonderful far reaching parkland views, in all about about half an acre.

Nether Alderley is a highly sought rural parish that lies a few minutes to the south of Alderley Edge village, with great access onto the A34 bypass with Manchester and the airport an easy commute away.

Heawood Hall and the properties within its boundaries sit in a wonderful position at the end of a long private driveway, and Hollinshead House is tucked away behind the Hall in an incredibly private and secure position with high entry gates.

It would be an ideal home for instance, for someone who wants rural walks and a true country atmosphere, yet wants to be within five minutes drive of Alderley Edge, shops and schools, and requires security and the comfort of neighbours, or perhaps goes away for longer periods of time and needs a home that can be left without concern.

The house sits within the most immaculate landscaped grounds of about half an acre, accessed through high remote gates onto a resin bound driveway, which provides excellent parking and a lovely view of the house and its approach.

The owners have spent a great deal of time and effort creating the landscaping here and there are manicured lawns, beautifully fashioned terraces and structured planting which provide a superb rural backdrop, and the views to the rear of the garden, overlooking parkland at the back, are simply stunning.

The house is spacious by most requirements at just under 5,000 sq ft in all, and offers some of the most wonderful exposed brick and timber work to be found in a residential property anywhere.

In particular, the indoor swimming pool sits within an original barn with a stone flagged roof and boasts a huge open ceiling with wonderful truss work, which also flows into other parts of the first floor of the main house, in particular the principle bedroom suite.

The house is presented beautifully by the current owners who keep it impeccably throughout.

An immensely impressive entrance hall opens into an open-plan living space with banks of windows overlooking the rear terrace and garden beyond, with a media wall at one side with an impressive fireplace.

A turning flight oak staircase leads to the first floor with a gallery over, and an adjacent sitting room/snug has a bank of fitted cabinetry and provides for a more informal lounge - again with a lovely view over the rear garden.

The kitchen dining living space is a huge open-plan room with a range of hand painted kitchen cabinets with a central island and there is fitted seating at a breakfast bar.

It is open to a large dining/living room, which could be a multi-use space if required, with french doors leading out to the rear terrace.

At first floor level, the main bedroom suite is tremendously impressive boasting those wonderful timbers, and has a separate staircase leading down to a side lobby and into the pool complex.

There is a walk-through dressing room and a remodelled en suite bathroom in a period style with both bath and large walk-in shower enclosure.

The three remaining double bedrooms on this floor all face to the rear of the house enjoying the lovely views and there are two further bathrooms - one en suite to the guest bedroom, again immaculately presented.

Ancillary rooms include a side hallway accessed off the drive, which links into the downstairs WC and provides space for a boot room and utility area.

On the far side of the swimming pool is an additional WC and shower room, above which is a fifth bedroom or study area. EPC Rating: F
