Porchester Terrace, Notting Hill, London, W2 3TL

Behind its handsome stucco façade, this exceptional family house unfolds into a series of vast, light-filled spaces, with a 37 ft reception room, indoor swimming pool and south-west-facing garden.

Set behind gates with off-street parking, the house spans approximately 6,660 sq ft across four floors and lies moments from Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.

The ground floor is arranged as one expansive entertaining space.

A generous reception room extends into the open-plan kitchen and dining area, where a glazed roof and full-height windows draw natural light deep into the house.

The kitchen is centred around a long island and fitted with integrated appliances, while doors open directly onto a broad terrace overlooking the garden.

On the lower-ground floor, a substantial family room opens onto the garden, creating an easy connection between the interior and outside space.

A further reception room, currently used as a study and gym, sits at the front, alongside a staff bedroom with an ensuite shower room, utility rooms and extensive storage.

Running alongside the main reception room is an indoor swimming pool measuring more than 42 ft in length, accompanied by a jacuzzi and sauna.

Glazing and direct access to the garden give the pool area an unusually open feel, while the large south-west-facing garden is surrounded by mature trees and planting.

A sculptural spiral staircase connects the upper floors.

The first floor is largely devoted to the principal suite, which includes a bedroom extending to almost 34 ft, a walk-in wardrobe and a large ensuite bathroom with a freestanding bath and separate shower.

A further ensuite bedroom completes this level. Four bedrooms more bedrooms are set on the fourth floor, two ensuite and two with use of a family bathroom.

The varied proportions make the rooms well suited to children, guests or additional home-working space.

The house is approached through electric gates, with a private driveway providing off-street parking for several cars. A lift serves the principal floors.

Porchester Terrace runs north from Bayswater Road, with Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens at the end of the street.

The restaurants, boutiques and cafés of Notting Hill, Queensway and Connaught Village are all within easy reach, while Lancaster Gate and Queensway Underground stations provide Central line connections across London.

Paddington Station is also nearby for the Elizabeth line, Heathrow Express and national rail services.
