You enter the flat by the own front door and spill into the impressive entrance hallway with window seating and storage and the staircase to the first floor.

Next is the drawing room which spans over 31ft in length and is framed by beautiful crown molding on the ceiling and detailed cornicing, here you'll enjoy the summer light from the fantastic original windows which are nearly floor to ceiling.

Off the drawing room is a modern fitted kitchen with stone flooring and granite work-tops.

On the first floor are two large double bedrooms, the primary benefiting from a dressing room and modern en-suite bathroom with freestanding tub.

The landing is large enough for a further reception space, with the current owner utilising it as a study.

Finally there is a stylish, modern shower room off the landing, as well as several storage cupboards.

Russells House is a Grade II listed building, originally built for the Dowager Countess of Essex in 1714.

The mansion is set within extensive private communal gardens featuring several 300 year old Lebanese Cedar Trees.

Many notable people have lived at Russells House over the centuries including General Colville who served at the Battle of Waterloo, Maharajah of the Indian Estate of Baroda and the Mayor of London.

The property comes with two allocated parking spaces, alongside further visitor parking - and has approximately 148 years remaining on the lease.

Ideally positioned for the avid golfer, The Grove Country Club is a few minutes drive from the door, whilst access into London is made easier with the M25 and M1 both within short driving distance and Watford Junction a 20 minute walk or a few minutes drive from the door - where you can catch the 16 minute drive into London Euston.
