About
A beautifully presented THREE BEDROOM semi-detached home tucked away within Blooms Court, a small close of just nine properties on the quieter side of Mildenhall.
Offering approximately 920 sq ft of accommodation, the property has been exceptionally well cared for and provides a particularly good layout for a first-time buyer, young couple or growing family.
One of the things we really like about Blooms Court is the setting. With only nine homes in the close, it has a much more intimate feel than many of the larger developments around town.
The sort of place where neighbours get to know one another.
For buyers looking for somewhere that feels established and tucked away, rather than part of a large estate, that is a real part of the appeal.
The accommodation starts with a welcoming entrance hall, where the smart herringbone-style flooring immediately sets the tone for the condition throughout.
There is useful under-stairs storage together with a modern ground-floor WC.
To the front is a separate breakfast/dining room, while the adjoining kitchen is fitted with an extensive range of oak-style cabinetry and work surfaces.
The two spaces work particularly well together, giving the kitchen a sociable feel without sacrificing a separate dining area.
Across the rear of the house is the impressive lounge, measuring approximately 16'2" x 11'8".
There is plenty of room for substantial furniture, while the wide glazed doors and windows overlook the garden and provide direct access onto the patio.
The herringbone-style flooring continues through from the hallway and gives the ground floor a really cohesive finish. Upstairs are three bedrooms, the family bathroom and additional storage.
Importantly for a semi-detached property, the two larger bedrooms are positioned along the detached side of the house rather than against the adjoining property, something we think is a particularly nice feature of the layout.
The principal bedroom is a generous double with an excellent range of fitted wardrobes surrounding the bed space and its own private en-suite shower room.
Bedroom Two is another comfortable double and also benefits from fitted wardrobe storage, while Bedroom Three is currently arranged as an excellent home office with bespoke fitted desk and storage - equally suitable as a nursery or child's bedroom.
The family bathroom has been stylishly updated with contemporary metro-style tiling, bath with shower over, wash basin and WC.
OUTSIDE Outside, the rear garden is another real strength of the property.
It is predominantly laid to lawn, enclosed by fencing and established planting, with a patio immediately outside the lounge providing space for outdoor seating and entertaining.
The garden feels private and manageable without being compromised on usable space.
LOCATION Blooms Court sits on the quieter side of Mildenhall, while remaining convenient for the town's everyday amenities.
There is also a particularly useful local shop nearby on Brandon Road - ideal for those occasions when you need the essentials without heading into the centre of town.
This is the sort of home that makes a great deal of sense as a first purchase.
Three genuine bedrooms, two bathrooms plus a ground-floor WC, separate dining space, a good-sized lounge and private garden, all presented to a standard that allows somebody to move in and enjoy it from day one.
BRADS TAKE I think comparing Blooms Court directly with a property on one of Mildenhall's larger estates, such as the Comet Way development, is almost impossible.
Those are much older, larger developments with considerably more properties and naturally higher levels of traffic moving through them. Blooms Court is a genuine little cul-de-sac.
There are only nine other homes here, so unless you live here, are visiting somebody or making a delivery, there's very little reason to come into the close. That gives it a completely different feel.
It's the sort of place where you get to know your neighbours, recognise the cars that belong and notice when somebody unfamiliar is around.
For me, that setting is one of the biggest selling points of the house.
Combine it with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a great garden and the condition the current owners have kept it in, and I think this is a really strong first home.
