6, Alexandra Road, Hampshire, SP6 1EJ

An attractive, traditional period 3-bedroom house with scope for cosmetic updating standing close to the town centre, schools and local bus routes.

6, Alexandra Road is an attractive detached house believed to date from the late Victorian/early Edwardian period of traditional red brick elevation, well located close to the town centre in a mixed residential road of primarily similar aged properties.

The house offers well-proportioned accommodation that exhibits a number of features typical of the age including generous ceiling heights, picture rails, stripped pine panel doors, exposed floorboards and fireplaces.

The house has generally been well maintained and the current Vendors have recently replaced the central heating boiler, but there remains scope for an incoming purchaser to cosmetically update certain aspects according to personal taste and there may be scope for further enlargement, subject to relevant planning permission.

Externally there is an enclosed rear garden and we understand there was historically an off-road parking bay at the foot of the garden accessed via a dropped kerb on adjoining Albion Road, which we understand is due to be reinstated.

Alexandra Road is conveniently positioned for the Fordingbridge town amenities, which are within level walking distance and extend to a selection of local shops, a building society, post office, public houses, restaurants, churches of varying denomination, a medical centre and sports ground.

The reputable Fordingbridge Infant & Junior School and Burgate Secondary School & Sixth Form are also within walking distance.

Connections to the X3 bus route are immediately available on near-by Salisbury Road, providing a regular service between Salisbury, Ringwood and Bournemouth.

In addition, access to arterial roads connecting other major centres for services, employment, social and recreational needs are close by.

The New Forest National Park is a short distance to the East and offers thousands of acres of moor, heath and woodland for the outdoor enthusiast to explore.

To the front a wrought iron pedestrian gate opens to front garden with a paved path to front door. The frontage is laid to gravel and bound by a dwarf brick wall.

The rear garden comprises a patio with well immediately adjoining the rear of the house and a side gate opening onto Albion Road.

Access to an attached outhouse with light and power connected, a separate WC with wash hand basin, a store and utility with space and plumbing for washing machine and a Wiessmann gas fired boiler.

The garden runs away from the house and comprises various mature shrub and flower beds with a central decked are and walkway leading to the rear of the garden.

At the far end is a former parking space, which we understand is due to be re-instated. New Forest District Council. Tax Band E. All mains services are conected.
